CenCal Riders = Airhead 124 & Don, Bob & maybe Gary & Wes (?) are good for Plam Springs, Doug from Grass Valley, Rudy and Pam (2-up), and myself (so far?) have annied up with reservations in Rancho Mirage.

We plan to ride some of the Anza Borrego area and possibly(?) over to Julian and Mt. Palomar.

Now let's see "if" the weather holds?

Anybody interested? Send a PM

If you have really aggressive tires on your bike, stop by and say hello. We plan to be at Ocotillo Wells OHV park which is right next door to Anza Borrego. Lots of deep sand though.

It never rains in the desert, right?
Right! Even though we like ducks can seal all orifices, it's No fun to deliberately ride into foul weather just to say we didi it! Even ducks sit out a storm.

Last year's DV attempt sucked due to weather at this time of the season so we cancelled. There were washouts, frozen passes, all manner of road closures, and it was very wet and cold for the entire 3 day weekend in February.

Looking forward to the ride this year Doug, weather permitting!

Some spectacular roads all over the mountains down this way. 74 up to Idyllwild.........great scenery........good roads to Palomar, and if you want a break for a couple hours check out the Palomar telescope.........fascinating, and also huge. Restaurant up that way........watch out for CHP around there as the crotch rockets haunt the place on the weekends...................https://www.astro.caltech.edu/palomar/ if you dig airplanes..............this is a great one you will enjoy...........https://www.air-museum.org/

Update

CenCal Riders = Rudy and Pam (in a car?), Bob Rainey, and myself (so far?) have annied up to ride out through the desert toward 29 Palms with overnight reservations in Rancho Mirage. Steve Kauffman will be meeting us on Saturday in Rancho.

We plan to ride some of the Joshua Tree/Anza Borrego area.

The weather is holding so we are riding.

Anybody interested? Send a PM

We're headed out Friday morning, to camp in the Marshall properties area of Ocotillo Wells. Since Andy is the proud owner of a KTM 450 dual sport (as of a few hours ago) we may head over to Anza Borrego. I just got a Honda 230 dual sport.

Will look out for a group of FJRs and say hello, if we see you.

We're going to be primitive camping but the site is some distance from paved road, via a lot of sand. Not good riding for FJRs.
