Due to some work requirements, I cannot get down south in AR for Scott's ride. So I going to hit southern MO instead...in TWO WEEKS.

The ride will occur on Saturday, October 9th. Enclosed is a rough map of a previous years ride.

I have moved the motel that I am staying at to the Super 8 Motel in Farmington, MO. I'm staying there Friday night and Saturday night. They have some rooms, so book 'em if you are interested. Rates are about $70/night plus tax.

Super 8 phone number is 573 756 0344.

You can stay at one of the other motels in Farmington if you wish...

I will be going to the Catfish Kettle in Farmington on Friday night.

We will have breakfast at the Huddle House -IN FARMINGTON- at 7:30am...and kickstands up from the Huddle House -IN FARMINGTON- at 8:30am.

Like a previous year, we will be looking to stop at Big D's bar-b-q in Doniphan, MO for lunch...and maybe a frosty mug of root beer at a Dog'N'Suds in the later afternoon.

Saturday night meal...maybe at the Applebee's which is nearby.

I will make an S&T file soon so you can get gpx files soon if you wish...

Griff is likely in. He and I will be staying at the Super 8. Who else is looking for a good day of riding?!

Sounds like a blast. We'll prolly have a foot of snow on the ground in two weeks the way the weather has been behaving lately. :angry2:

I guess this means midwest-Griff got the bike all wired back up. Have fun, ride safe... and post up them pics!

Western Canuckistan Griff

Well, those in the know, know this is a good time. Take advantage of this weekend in October to learn about and road test some good great roads in Missouri with some of your FJR friends. :yahoo:

Clear your calendars and sign up now! :clapping:

Hey Mark, I will be able to join you for a meal Saturday evening. I am on the midnight shift, so I will not be able to ride on Saturday. Wish it was for the following weekend of the 15th. I am off from the 14th to the 19th. I will call you on Sat.

Smitty

I'd go, but yesterday was my first day back on the bike, and I don't think I am quite healed up enough yet for those kind of miles and riding.

Besides, I thought the governor had outlawed this meet ever being held in Missouri again...?

Yeah, sorry it can't be the next weekend...that one's already booked up for me...but I sure hope to see you at a meal on Saturday night...any good recommendations? Or back to the Catfish Kettle on Saturday night as well? Let me know your thoughts.

Sorry you can't make it Skip...hope the healing is going fine.

I am hearing from Gramps and others that the Super 8 is full...I don't have reservations yet either as it has never been a problem before.

I will look at alternate motels tonight and post up an alternate motel to base out of for this ride. I'm sure we'll find some place that will work out. Will post tonight.
