I am looking for a seat that is better than my stock seat for my 2005. Hoping for a Sargeant, Corbin, etc. Let me know what you might have.
Thanks,
Jim

Not sure if you're still looking, but I have a 2005 seat that was remade by Rick Mayer.20241108_143859.jpg

The Child of the Universe (Bounce) is correct. Corbin, love it or hate it. Which makes the Corbin a good value on the used seat market. However, if you're willing to put in the miles the Corbin will break in and become an excellent seat, IMO. I've had my Corbin on four different FJR's, 06,07,09 and a 2015. I will soon need a recover.

I use the Top Sellerie Deluxe Comfort Gel seat. I love it. I have done multiple long (6+ hours) days on it.

In June I went from Paris, France to near Stansted airport (north of London) via the back roads in France (some verging on farm tracks) and mostly motorways in the UK. It took over 8 hours with 35 minutes in the Channel Tunnel (lunch break on the train). When I arrived I was relaxed and actually mentioned that I could have turned round and gone straight back!

My seat is lowered as I am vertically challenged (5'8") so has slightly less padding. If you are tall, they also do a long version.

If you live in a hot area, you may want to omit the gel as above about 92°F it starts to firm up and over 100°F it becomes quite firm (similar to the OEM). I have done a few days when the temperature was over 100°F.

You all do realize you are responding to an inquiry that is over a year old, don't you??
JSFJR hasn't even been back to this forum since April 2024!!

Carry On.
