I recently came across this little gem from TWTtex.com (download and view the vid. radman posted a similar one done to the original tune awhile back, too). I can't remember where I saw it - maybe ADVrider.com, but I thought it might be fun to do here. So, this here thread is just about the concept, potential volunteers, photo contributions and, of course, we'll need a musician or three (Yamma Jamma, O'Vale, Slappy, odot... wink, wink). Maybe, copies of the dvd can be a source of forum funding, too.

We'll need an original 'Everywhere' soundtrack done and my initial thoughts of photos are:

  • Towns from around the country - perhaps from your town or oddball named towns or town names that rhyme
  • Shots of Nat'l parks, monument, historic locations
  • Events IBR, WFO CFO, EOM, SFO
  • Shots of FJR's
  • Shots of forum members engaged in riding, posing by bikes/events/family
Well, whadya think? With proper progression, this might be able to be done for a NAFO premiere...

(Of course, I fully expect the usual amount of forum banter, but this will help things along and perhaps brew a few interesting ideas, too. So, let 'er rip!)

Being a TWT member I completely agree. I met Yamma Jamma during one of our rides and he would be great on something like this. Notice how I volenteer someone else? The TWT folks did a nice job on it.

Yeah, well, 92 hits and your one reply later, I think the answer is a resounding, 'No'. So, idea scrapped. Thanks for looking just the same.

Hey, so 90 people took the time to watch that little diddy. Was a good suggestion but you might want to talk to Gilk over there to see how much work was involved. TWT is a decent site, met a lot of great people over there.

Geez, what a cry baby. Why not give us a minute or two here? I haven't even got the flippin thing downloaded yet. I started the download, got interupted at work, had to stop the download. At work, the bandwidth is policed and downloading takes a considerable amount of time. (I wonder if such is the case with any other forum peeps???) So, get your panties out of their wad, wipe your snotty nose on your sleeve, and let us review. Okeedokee?

I ain't crying about it - especially since it's not an original concept, but hey, it's the 21st Century with all of the instantaneous response and satisfaction that we all have come to expect. If you can't respond within 11 hours, then don't even bother. Just jump back on your buggy, crack the whip and saunter on down the lane. Don't forget to stop at the Western Union to pick up your telegraphs!

:bleh:

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we don't really know what it's all about until we see the video. Not really looking to raise any red flags at work when I download this 28MB file, so, I'll wait till I get home.

If it's what I think it is (montage of pics and vids of FJR related stuff with cool muzak in the background) sounds like a great idea.

I don't have the know-how to put it together nor am I a musician, but, I could see if I could drum up some pics of some of the oddball towns around me (Intercourse, Bird In Hand, Blue Ball).

You know, at your age, I would have thought you would be a little more nostalgic for waiting. I mean, all this "instant gratification" has only taken place for what, 10% of your life?

who edits and decides content?

random application?

high posters?

dumped in nafo volunteers laps?

can the forum pay the production dude / editor in 'adult beverage'?

Fixed. :****:

Here's the youtube version (of the one radman had posted) for all you dial-up troglodytes:

Now, hurry the **** up and watch the damn thing!

That's the point of this thread; to figger out...

  • Do we wanna do it
  • How are we gonna do it
  • Who is gonna do it
  • Do we do it by region
  • Do we use teams
  • Yada, yada, yada
And no, this is not in anyway shape or form related to NAFO or the NAFO staff. This will be an independent undertaking that would be nice to premier at NAFO or EOM or CFO or... depending on when it gets finished.

Okay, I say HELL YES, let's do this thing. But I would like to see the rider with the bike in all the photos. It would be extra cool to see old friends on the screen at the NAFO debut.
