While I am sure no one noticed I was away, I was.

The weekend started on Friday afternoon. Quiting time was approaching and I was wrapping up some witty exchanges with TWN before taking the 1 hour ride to the house.

Then it hit. I started sweating profusely and my heart rate went to over 160. Not cool. I sat there a few minutes, thinking it would stop. Then I sat on the AC, thinking it would quit. Then major dumb assness kicked in. I said to myself; Piss on this, I'm going to the house. Got in the car, crank up the cool breeze, and headed south. It didn't quit. It got worse. Left hand now tingling and going numb. ****. I ain't gonna make it to the house.

Call the wife at work, leave message. Meet me at the E.R.

Make it to the E.R., but can't fill out the stupid papers. Too frickin' weak. This sucks. But, I jumped straight to the front of the waiting line. Straight to the wheel chair, straight to a bed, and within a matter of minutes, I got a half dozen medical professionals hovering over me like starving vultures. Seconds latter, I am wired in a fashion that would make Frankenstien jelous. All the nurses are talking sweet to me, calling me honey and sweetie. Can't be good. Ya'll think I'm fixin' to kick out. Nurse call Dr. on radio and says "We have a man in 5B with a heart rate over 160." (It's been over an hour at this rate now) 30 seconds later, Dr. at the foot of my bed barking orders.

Well now, don't I feel special? All this attention for little ole me?

Where's my wife? I got the cell phone in my hand with a death grip. (no pun intended) Wife calls, "I'm almost there."

"Where going to give you (???), it will make you feel strange, but it should bring down your heart rate." Well, it did and it did.

So, they stuck me in a room and ran tests. I must have failed most of them cause they kept giving me more. Hell, if I'd have known, I would have studied. I now have so many holes in my arms, it looks like I've been shot with birdshot.

Ultimately, they don't know and I finally convinced them to cut me lose. I finally made it to the house.

Ahhhh, my own chair.

And what a woman I married. Never left my side. Even slept in the chair next to my bed. And what a son, he wouldn't leave either.

Dag nabit! Sorry to read this -glad you're still with us, Scabby! Musta been some scary ****! What's next for analysis?

See? Learn not to mess with the Nutster. Bad juju happen, mon! :D

Well, that sucks (the elevated heart rate) but it's great that you're better and resting at home. Looks like the old scabber-oo needs to be making an appointment for some tests with his local physician.

Hope you're feeling better.

Now you know you have to get it checked out dude?

Don't go ******* around with this kind of stuff..Did they give you any kind of diagnoses?

Stress test for you boyo!

Let us know how you go

Cheers

Yeah, more tests to come.

As part of the diagnosis process, they did say that I would have to submit transcripts of all exchanges involving TWN. So, far, from what information I could give them verbally, this appears to be the most likely culprit.

You didn't by any chance have a 3-bean-burrito with the "nuclear" hot sauce from the back of a truck on the side of the freeway for lunch on Friday....?

j/k

Hope you don't have any more of those incidents, you can figure out cause and prevention methods.

Scab, do not be like my father with this deal. My dad is a truck driver that was out on the road when something like this happened. Instead of going to the hospital he drives 500 miles home. He was so weak when he got back that he could barely get out of the truck. My mom eventually forced him to go to the hospital, he is now recuping from bypass surgery. Your story about going home to your chair sounds similar to me. Make sure you get those tests done!

Does that mean I can't sue TWN?
No, just me. To find out about TWN you'll have to call those lawyers on the back cover of the phonebook.

Scab,

Scary as TWN in a speedo -

But what's even scarier is they don't know what caused it? Man, get it checked out - stick around for a bit, ok? Like Thug says, it's stress test time !!

Glad you're still with us.

Disclaimer: No, I have never seen TWN in a speedo. Not once. ever. nope. nowayjose. And I don't want to.
