That's right.... Throttle Body Synchs will be offered at WFO-5 under the "porte cochere" covered parking area.

These TBS clinics will be offered both Friday and Saturday, so as to minimze the impact to daytime riding for those who want to explore the Reno-Tahoe region. Look for the specific TBS clinic times when you check-in at the WFO-5 Registration desk.

There is only one little hiccup: somebody has to bring either a set of murcury sticks, or even better, one of the Morgan CarbTunes with them to Reno (and, of course, let me borrow it to do the TBS's with!). I'll have everything else I need to do the TBS with, we just need the mercury sticks or CarbTunes.

The fee for this service: a minimum of a $20 donation thrown into the FJRForum.com "Karma Box" we will set up at the WFO Registration/Check-In desk. All monies collected for this effort will be forwarded to slapnpop for future support of FJRForum.com!

So.... who's coming to WFO-5 and has CarbTunes they can let me borrow? B)

I'd be happy to let you use mine - I just gotta remember to pack it !!

I'll PM both you guys every day for the next three weeks to remind you to pack your CarbTunes. :p

Thanks, gentlemen... and I'm sure the owners of the synched FJR's thank you as well!

Couple questions...

Which of the 3 known versions of carb synching will you be doing?

Are you also going to have a stethoscope handy for tick diagnoses?

I basically follow the one in the Service Manual. :D I'll be synching at idle, but we'll look at the balance at around 4K as well.

Yes, I'll have it with me, but anymore, I have little need it for Tick diagnosis purposes. Although if a bike is in the early, early stages of the Ticking, the stethoscope is useful to allow Tick owners in denial to have a good listen to the forthcoming trauma.

Be happy to bring my Morgan, and since I'm trailering Frank, I'll have plenty of room for it, as opposed to those that are riding to the meet. For that matter, could assist in the proccess. Lemme know.

Warchild,

I'll have my mercury sticks with me and would love to have the stethescope used on mine to determine tick/non-tick status. I'm interested in this clinic JUST to make sure I've been doing it correctly... never hurts to make sure.

Heck, it'd be worth it just to have Der Professor, The Benevolent Dictator, Mr. Warchild, sir, hisself do the job! I wonder if he'll autograph my tool tray?

'Tool tray'? Is that NorCal speak for a jock strap? :haha:

Looks like enough mercury is comin', sorry, Charlie, mine will stay on the bench.

If someone happened to take a lot of detailed pics during their TBS being performed by the master, I wouldn't mind that at all :)
