Sangair - That is one clean and pretty 2005!

Ya, I think Spring will be the time again. Unless a bunch of us do this same thing again.

I agree, I've never seen so many FJRs for sale, especially on this forum. It was very rare anyone was letting loose with their iron horse many years back. Now everyone seems to be unloading their rides. I know motorcycling in general has declined a lot. Most new arrivals (our next generation of kids) don't continue in the tradition, they seem to be glued to phones etc. It's too bad the next generations coming up aren't interested in such great enjoyment and freedom of riding. Maybe an electronic leash is far more entertaining? 😞

Dang is right!.. I considered selling my 2005 a few months ago but knew I wouldn't get much for it. I wanted to upgrade to at least a gen 3 but found Gen 2 and 3's are going for $5-$8k locally here in Calif. I just decided to keep my 05 since I know it so well, still in new condition, I've done every maintenance necessary @ 36k miles. I'm reluctant to dump more $$ into upgrades, it wouldn't add any more value.. and they are $$ pits!
If I had more garage space I might add another with all the good deals out there!
Good luck with your sell! Maybe wait until Spring?

More garage space is slippery freaking slope! I am too embarrassed to say how many FJRs are currently in my garage. It's a lot!

I agree that it is better to wait until about February before selling your bike. Whatever you do, unless you have a ton of time on your hands and a lot of junk space, do not part it out. The labor and the trouble aren't worth it if you have the option of selling it whole, to be ridden away. Best of lucks with this desirable ride! I myself am trying to find what is the best way to make the front suspension better on my 2005 and will entertain any advice...
