FYI, I believe that anything from 2008+ will work for you - only difference is color for some years. May help to widen your search parameters.

Thanks Ross for the info of what years fit my 2015 Gen 3. I have a complete extra front wheel and I install the spare with a new tire before leaving on long rides. I got tired of replacing tires with a couple thousand miles left. Tire prices got higher and I got older and cheaper.

I watch for these wheels as well. Some seem to pop for sale on ebay time to time but I often question their straightness on there or they are available in Europe and shipping to the States is crazy. Good luck.

Although a Gen 2 rear wheel will fit your Gen3, the ABS sensor plate must be changed over as well. There is a difference on the Gen 2 where the spacer between the wheel and ABS plate is part of the sensor backing plate. Not a big deal just make sure you get both.

The 2006 - 2007 Gen 2 wheels will NOT work for Bill's 2015 application as they do NOT have the threaded lugs on the hub for the magnetic sensor ring mounting.
The 2008 and newer wheels WILL work and already have the correct ABS sensor ring for 2008 and newer Gen 2 and Gen 3 scooters.
The ABS sensor mount plate and spacer from Bill's 2015 will work with any of the 2008 and newer wheels.
Only difference is color from 2008 to present for some years.

Thanks for all the advice and help. I was stationed in Okinawa for a year in 1985-86 and bought an 86 FJ1200, owned it for 5 years/ 40,000 miles. I rode sportbikes, dirtbikes and quads through the 90's. Bought an 05 FJR1300 Used with 3,000 miles in 2008 for $7300 and rode it until selling it with 47k after buying a new 2015. In love with riding mountain roads and twisties on my FJR with my friends. Hope to meet and ride with some of you down the road🏍👍🇺🇸
