    What to offer ... new 2008 FJR

    I just bought a perfect 2008 FJR with 1,972 miles on it. Came with sliders installed, (NIB) extra large windshield, never mounted, Yamaha cover, Breakaway throttle lock, no scratches or marks. $8500.00 Pretty happy with the deal and extremely impressed with the bike. Black and Silver of coarse.

    Yeah, I need to do that. I just bought it yesterday and haven't updated my crap yet. Put a new battery and tender connector in. I have a 2008 FJR 1300A. I'll take a pic in the light. Thanks

    That i can do OK. Its the "flush" misfit at the front where it mates with the front inner cowling that is not flush. The retaining slotted nut for the plastic tab to go into on the panel itself does not fit flush. May it never did... I just bought this bike and put a new battery in it with...

    Can anyone please tell me why the inner cover over the battery will not fit flush at the front? The steel retaining bracket that the front cover tab goes in will not allow a flush fit of the cover to the rest of the plastic. What the heck????? I had to stop, take a break, and I'm no rookie on...

    Which Helmet MFG for good venting and less buffeting

    Thanks everyone for all the good info. I did a lot, tried on many and decided on the Shoei Multitec-In black of coarse-with an extra smoked visor and visor protective bag. Awesome helmet and the thing just works.

    Well, I'm about as undecided as before...... I did try the Quest on Saturday and liked it. The salesman told me that the difference in temperature between the white and black (gloss) was .03%, very little. Now the matte black was on the average 4-5 degrees hotter. Just interesting to know...

    I was wanting to get opinions on Helmets that work good in the sit up postion, (FJR) and has great venting/cooling. Too many choices. Help me narrow it down PLEASE.....
