It appears modifying your FJR only brings problems and costs more in fixing faults. Okay it may enhance your ride, but the FJR is factory-built to thrill, right? Minor modifications are fine like cruise control... but stuff like suspension and gaskets are a no no. And thats my personal view...

Are FJR's known to have cylinder problems? Could that be one reason not to buy an FJR? Or is this only a matter for older FJR's? Are the new FJR's improved? Thanks.

A fair, unbiased comparison please.

Does anyone know where to get hold of an instrument cluster from the older FJR's? I want to fit it on a new FJR because I don't like the new cluster they've come up with. Is this possible or is the wiring all different? Thanks guys.

Does anyone know where to get an oil filler cap that can lock on the FJR? With an expensive bike like that, you don't want people putting things in your engine, like they did with my Varadero. I found sand in it. Engine seized up. Can't be going through that again.
