    Garmin Quest on '04

Those aluminium plates are from Yamaha art.nr 5VS-W0779-00-00 (06) or 5JW-W0779-00-00 (previous models). I paid 37 EUR for it. The "plastic" mounting bracket is from Garmin, including power cable and connection to headphones. As you see, I like orginals ;)

    Garmin Quest on '04

Battery (Quest) is very good, last at least 20 hours. But still, on longer trips, I don't want to carry charger with me, so I'm using power cable.

    Yet Another '06 First Impression

You could also improve those mirrors by investing 2 USD like I did, best (or cheapest) security farkling I've ever done: *click*

    Motorcycles and ferry travel

We here in Scandinavia do this all the time (trips takes 12 - 36 hours) and despite Teerexs advice, always on sidestand. Ferry companies normally have their own "straps", but of course using your own is possible.

    Hugger for 06

Spridal, no it doesn't fit to 06 (sorry for misleading in topic title), I did receive reply from them: We may prepare one for the 2006 model if the hugger we propose for the 2005 model is well sold. Carnifex, sidebags are standard in Europe, bag liners not.

Full Day Ride - 06FJR and K1200GT Comparison

Thanks, good story/comparison. Just wanted to say, that here the price difference between those is much smaller: FJR 22.990 € vs. K1200 GT 23.900 € = roughly 4 % more Still, I didn't choose Beemer, because I'm only 42 years young, I guess that you gotta be over 50 before buying a beemer...
