Interesting idea, I'd have to look into how those are built as I'm not familiar with them.

I thought about using the HF trailer but I wanted torsion axles instead of leaf springs. By the time you add torsion axles to the HF tag along it's just cheaper (and lighter I think) to build one from scratch. And for me it's just way for fun to make the whole thing. :)

Okay, the saudi car flipping scene was pretty horrific! The idiot on the bike that rear ended the car, flipped up on the roof and rode on the top of the car to a stop was downright lucky. Hitting the cows getting on with it was pretty funny though. Just goes to show you never know what is...

I'm planning on using some cables to save a tinsy bit of weight (and they don't rattle, if I could even hear it with wind and a helmet...) instead of chains, but it is a sticky situation. Personally, I'd rather not have a secondary restraint system because if my trailer were to become unhitched...

So the dates are July 28-31. As far as the 28th goes is that intended as a check-in in the evening or be ready to ride first thing in the morning day?

I guess I don't know what conversations have happened off-line, but looking around quick the Days Inn in Montrose has 4 star reviews on Trip Advisor, has a conference center, and rates I'm finding for that time are $89 a night + tax. We stayed at a Days Inn I believe for NAFO 2014.
