Has Anyone Added a Turn to the Throttle Spring?

I have owned both Gen II and Gen III bikes. The throttle on the G3 is much better than the G2. It was one of the first things I checked when looking to buy the G3.

    Motorcycle Shipping

I had a bike shipped from Florida to Indiana with Keyboard. I would definitely use them again. They have a special bike stand they secure your bike in for shipping.

    Battery replacement

I just replaced the battery in 2015 with one from Battery Mart. They seem to have a good selector tool to make sure it fits properly.

    Concours or FJR

^^^^^As FJRBound said. "cruise control". A friend went for the C14 and we have swapped bikes. He likes the FJR over the C14 as do I. The C14 is big and heavy. It goes nice at speed but low speed maneuvering is more difficult. Did I say "cruise control"?

What did you do to your FJR today?

Registered the FJR in our new location and took my first ride as a TN resident.

    Helmet life

Signs it is time to get a new helmet (for me): - It has 'hit the pavement' with some force - Worn or frayed safety straps - It no longer fits properly (padding/liner wear or breakdown,  me gaining or losing weight) - Can no longer buy replacement face shields This usually happens in 3 - 5...

7 day trip last week of July from Michigan to TN, northern MS and AL, SC and NC

Clingman's Dome is a nice ride but usually a lot of car traffic. NPS.gov lists the road as currently open but may change at any time due to pandemic. It was closed a month ago when we tried to go to the top.

    Loud Pipes? Nice job.

I used to have one of these shirts. I got some interesting reactions from some people. Wore it to a "biker bar" and someone asked "what makes you think you can wear that shirt in here?". I replied, "I have been a Motorcycle Rider Coach for 10 years, change my mind".

    Had to put dog down.

So sorry. It is one of the hardest decisions to make.

Virtual Private Network - who uses one?

I currently just have it on individual devices. I just got a seperate wireless router and have not installed it on the router yet. Comcast won't let you install stuff on devices connected to their system. Until now I had a cable modem with built in wireless router so I was not able to go that...

Why Shipping to "the lower 48" Only?

When people beat you down on the price then you have to go to the hassle of shipping to Canada, etc it is not worth it. I have done it a couple of times and won't do it again. I am not a business and don't have the time or resources to mess with it. I look at it as my loss since I am limiting my...

    Garage Door Opener

I have a garage remote velcroed to the underside of the glove box lid. FYI, my garage remote uses the 12V battery (A23). The battery lasts 4-5 years. The remote is a generic remote.

    Misaligned steering?

Mine was like that. I loosened the triple clamps and pressed the front wheel against the wall and pushed on the bars until straight.
