    Factory Shop Manual Source?

Not trying to throw gas on the fire, but torch's pdf manual does not have a copyright statement or disclaimer. My service manual, however, published in the USA for a 2003 bike has the following text on page 2, complete with a copyright symbol: ©2002 by Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. First...

    Grip Puppies

I hate to be persistent about this, but yamahlr, what size did you det? Griptek offers what appears to be a "medium", to fit grips 1.25-1.45" in diameter. It sounds so far like the mediums might be the ticket. Can anyone confirm?

    The "list"

My list is short, too: 196? Honda mini-trail 50 - rode it everywhere around my grandparents small town. 1970 Kawasaki 100 Trail Boss - first manual clutch bike, was a 4 speed I think, but had a switch for dirt (low range) or street (high range) gears. 1977 Kawasaki KE250 dual sport - my only...

    Fuel tank paint protection

Not a bit off FJR topics at all! Clicky for a thread that has some options. Jeez, I guess I should pay attention better when I read; initially I thought you meant you needed it for your FJR, like you already had for your snowmobile...sorry. Maybe there's still good info there, though.

    Dual Sport

I am 90% certain that D&H only sells Yamaha and Kawasaki - I do know (per Jerold) that they will offer discount prices for any bike they sell, and that they sell a lot of KLR650's.

    Grip Puppies

So, what diameter works best? The griptek site mentions several diameters for a 5" grip, the two that might work are: 1.1-1.25" or 1.25-1.45". I will assume the smaller diameter is the way to go, but anyone know for sure?

    FZ1 Mirrors

Those numbers match the 2004 FZ-1 parts fiche, but were probably common to several years. I think with the correct part numbers, you don't have to know year or even model to get the right stuff...

    Suspension settings

I don't know about the thread you refer to, but Sport Rider magazine suggested suspension settings for an '05 are: Front: Spring preload 2 lines showing Rebound dampening 4 clicks from full stiff Compression Dampening 7 clicks from full stiff Rear: Spring preload Hard position Rebound...

    Tank Protection

The tank pad above is made by Progrip. Here's their site: Progrip site They only list distributors on their site, not dealers, but I would imagine most dealers and accessory houses could get what you want. Maybe check with Gary @ University Motors? Hmmm, they also have a matching carbon-look...

    Watch Your 6

Seems to me that if you react to some bonehead on the road, then the legal system sees you as the road rager, never the person that started the whole thing - they become the victim. Best thing to do is to let 'em go, don't even flip 'em off, and be thankful that noone was hurt by the jerk. I...

Sorry, I guess I never answered your question! Yes, you can do that. You have to have the seller's email address they used when signing up for their account. Experienced sellers will even send you an email request for payment. Go to the "Send Money" tab and all the instructions are there. If...
