Help a noob out with a link to what the "spider" fix is, and a pictorial link would be even better.. I'm guessing adding dielectric grease to all connections would help?

Look at the long list of improvements the 2010 C14 has received. Kawi listened to riders and the critics and addressed most of the complaints.. so if you want a C14, get a 2010 with the corrections done.. or pick up an FJR and enjoy it! That's what I plan to do.. if only I can find a used one...

Thanks for the detailed review.. I've been trying to decide between these two bikes, and hoping that the FJR will be updated in 2011 as I'd prefer a Yamaha over a Kawi. (better local dealer support).

I've tried a few custom seats and when I finally tried Russell, it was the best and most comfortable day long seat bar none. Day long really means day long. Nice seats..

I'm trying to understand the "soak the clutch plates in oil" suggestion. Doesn't this bike have a wet clutch and there should be oil in there? Please help me understand. Signed: from a guy who's been riding a bike with a dry clutch.

The BMW RT-P (Police version) has a locking side stand which allows the bike to be parked on an incline with the engine running. If someone wants to design a different side stand for the FJR, might want to see how the RT-P's side stand works. Or keep it simple: Leave the bike in gear... nothing...

I had a coocase.. it was crap quality, and I sent it back.. went back to Givi.. quality is above the rest.

I was looking at the UK site, they have 3 colors available for their FJR :( We always get stiffed here if you're not into cruisers. Plus, there's also an unveiling on Sept. 8 there too, so I guess it's a world wide event..
