    FJR1300ABS vs 1998 BMW R1200C

And, THANK YOU ALL! I learned so much from everybody here, and was able to make my FJR a better and well maintained machine because of your shared knowledge. I'm not leaving entirely from this site, I'll still pop in now and then, and I promise not to hack your site anymore. :haha: (just...

    FJR1300ABS vs 1998 BMW R1200C

These are pics from the previous owner. The Guzzi is not mine, and I would probably avoid the brand, even though I find their motorcycles very interesting. Hard to find a dealership, and the brand keeps "almost" disappearing. Otherwise, I would love to have an Aprillia -Piaggio-Moto-Guzzi...

    FJR1300ABS vs 1998 BMW R1200C

I've sold the FJR, and here is it's replacement. I'm going to slow down and enjoy the scenery a bit. I'll most likely stay with BMW over the years, as well. I find them to be extremely reliable, they last forever, and they're a great deal once they reach 4 to 5 years of age. Nothing wrong...

    Bikes I want

I don't need a stable of bikes. I bought the FJR because it was such a great compromise, while compromising so little. It's all I needed. Now with baby on the way I know that the 11 hour rides will be put on hold for a bit (years?), and am selling the FJR. I need something to stir my...

    Beullers? Buellers?

Yup, I've ridden the 12X Ulysses, and the XB9S. I'd love to buy the Ulysses, but I'm keeping finances in order for my baby, due 8/31/06. Real baby, not motorcycle. I did like the 12X quite a bit, but the XBS was a hot ride as well. I'd never take either off road, but Uly would be nice for...

    Beullers? Buellers?

Dealer has a 2004 xb12, still in the crate., still with two year warranty. They're putting it together, and calling me within the week. If I can get it for less than Blue Book, or $7,000, it's a steal. I'll let ya know. Any chance I can do better? I mean, this baby is right out of the box...

    Vacation 2006

Target! Or Walmart, or wherever else I can buy diapers cheap. Baby on the way, wife is bloated and flatulent... we're going to stay home (with the windows open).

    Beullers? Buellers?

Bad weather bikes... goin' there right now. Thanks. The "Rock Crusher" transmission, and tougher clutch pull. Your opinion? The deal on some of these used Buells is hard to beat, and I'd love to pick up an '04 XB12 or XB9 for the prices they are currently going for.

    Beullers? Buellers?

Cleveland, OH. That's the kind of deal I'm looking for... much thanks, and if you find any more, maybe closer to my neck of the woods, I'll be here. :D

    Beullers? Buellers?

Ulysses for Ten Thousand XB12S for 9 Thousand XB9SX for 8 Thousand Wussup with this Ocala FL Dealership? Great prices, as long as they're not charging an astronomical "Setup" fee. Hell, add $500 bucks to these prices and it's still great.

    Beullers? Buellers?

I test rode one. Fun, fun, fun. No chance of me finding a used Ulysses this year, unfortunately. 2004 XB12's are going for $6,500 or less.... what a deal. Not many miles on 'em either. I'm cool on info for the XB9, if that is the route I go (I like the CityX setup), but want the 12. Pretty...

Petition to stop cell phone use in automobiles

So, would the law allow hands-free use? I never use my cell without the earpiece microphone thing, so I guess it wouldn't affect me, if that's the case. Not sure what I think of the law either way though. Would surely be against if I cannot use it the safe way that I currently do.

    1000 V Strom

1000 doesn't just have a bigger motor, but better suspension than 650, if I remember the review correctly. It doesn't seem ugly to me, atleast not when I compare it to this Triumph Tiger that I owned: While riding my Tiger, I heard the horn. We were at a stop light. I looked back at a man...

    Beullers? Buellers?

mrVroom? Others? The XB line does seem to be quite reliable, complete opposite of earlier Buells that tarnished the company's reputation. Thump and torque of a big twin, big shake at idle, it just seems so cool. Still looking for something fun with character to hop on for short rides, now that...

    What is your home worth?

What is my home worth? I was pleasantly surprised, and have made $84,000 equity in two years.... Pops gave me quite a deal on this shack.

    Da Zuke Burgster

One could install quite a reserve tank in that storage hole underneath the seat. Iron butt on a Burgman, anyone?

    Da Zuke Burgster

I talked to my wife tonight, about the Burgman as a possible purchase next year. She says, "I'm just afraid you'll feel like a dork, and want to sell it like you do every motorcycle you've had". I replied, "Is it that I'd feel like a dork, or that you think I'd look like a dork?". She says...

    SV650 Who has one?

There are some interesting reviews here: MyBuell

    Da Zuke Burgster

My pops bought one of these. I rode it on many occasions, and it is deceptively fast. The CVT transmission keeps the engine running at peak RPM for performance, or fuel economy, depending on how hard the throttle is twisted. Lots of fun, decent handling, huge comfortable seat, and now it's...

    Benelli building bikes again

Will we now have to pronounce the company name, "Binerri"?
