    Oregon Traffic Attorney

I looked at the statute regarding Fail. to Yield to Emergency Vehicle. The elements of the statute make reference to pulling over to the right. As you mentioned you pulled over to the left side. I believe the deputy will present that to the court and the judge will probably side with the...

I took my FJR to a Harley dealer open house party yesterday

Funny the lack of "real riders" out here most of the year when us FJR riders are atop our mounts year round. I don't even see them under overpasses like they are fabled to be.

    Northern Santa Barbara County

All those years stationed at Vandenberg in the late 90s and no one told me about the burger joint. :(

    Seattle PD new ride

+1 on scooter's response. Our guys down here mentioned the same high speed head shake on the Honda. And the high cost of BMW. Their problem down here is the lack of Kawi dealers in the area to work with.

    Fly-N-Ride to Portland, OR

Great pics and a good looking bike. I see ol' boy pointed you out to one of our favorite local seafood joints. Local Ocean is the best in the area. Chowder Bowl at Nye Beach would have been another alternative if you had more time. Congrats on your new-to-you Feejer.

Headin' to Winchester Bay this Thursday for some seafood. I see that you've got something going on already. I'll keep you posted for more rides in September.

    Question on seats

My Sargent seat is much more firm than stock. 8 on the scale that you mentioned. Stock is great for about 5 minutes. So soft that it gave me hotspots. Even though the Sargent is firm it works great for me all day. Did a 700 mile loop a couple weekends ago. No issues. Never looked back.

    Ofc. Chris Kilcullen Memorial Ride

As many of my fellow PNW riders know, the community of Eugene, Oregon lost a fine policeman in the line of duty last month. This policeman happened to do his job on two wheels. Chris leaves behind his wonderful wife and two daughters; one of which is just 4 years old. The malicious acts of...

    All these modifications on FJRs?

Most of us re-map with a power commander because most street legal bikes imported into the US are mapped pretty lean. The lean mixture causes herky jerky behavior at low RPM levels. This can be corrected w/o modication by feathering the clutch. I went the PC way because when I travel in a...

    Rear ended at light

+1 to what AuburnFJR said in reference to insurance. As for a following too closely ticket, that charge is tough to prove in court due to the language in the statute. Because it is a violation, the collision must be witnessed by the officer or must be investigated for a citation to be written...

    Green Light Triggers

I looked at that green light trigger/magnet from Cyclegear for 15 bucks. I figured the price wasn't two bad so I got it. I had two stoplights on my commute to work that would never trip for me unless there was a cage involved. After the install I tested it. Both stoplights tripped when I...

FJR 1300 Headlight lamp Change out!

+1 for the PIAAs. I've been using them since last fall since part of my commute is after the sun sets. Much brighter than the OEM units.

    I can't believe I did that

OK, this is probably not saying much but here goes. Unless you have the luxury of having a certified dyno tech like I don't, I just used the map for the TB aftermarket exhaust map on my PC III. It's my understanding if you only go with slip-ons you can get away with not having to change...

Vance and Hines CS One Exhaust

I gotta hear them when you get them on. I'm local from over here in Junction City. Please let me know.

    Seat Upgrade

I had a Saddleman track style seat. It blew. Got a Sargent seat. It rocks. My buddy and I switched FJRs for awhile. He was diggin' on the Sargent seat too.

Do these risers do the job?

I have these on my 08. No difference between the 08 and 09 on cable length. I'm happy with them. I figure the further I get from the sportbike slouch, the better. The cables will be fine but you must cut the stock wire cages as per the instructions.

    Yamaha Announces 2011 FJR

That's pretty weak. Kawasaki ups their game while Yamaha goes to the table with heated grips standard?! 2012's FJR better hover or something
