I have ridden with FJR riders from California, Washington and Idaho, but haven't even met a FJR rider in the Salem area. Maybe you prefer to ride alone, I do a lot of that, but it is fun to get together and ride somewhere for lunch and tell lies about your riding prowess. I believe I posted a similar subject a year or more ago and did not receive a reply. Maybe this time.

In the four years I have had my bike I have ridden to the WFO in Moscow, Idaho, the WFO in Eureka, California and the gathering of the clan in Mill Valley, California and found all of the FJR riders I met to be interesting, nice people. I would like to meet some local riders to accompany me on some local or not so local rides.

That's all Folks.

I'm not in Salem but just over the hill. Given a little notice I would be glad to meet up for food and lies. Pick a spot and a date and I will arrange shop work so I can ride.

This so easy --> RTE :) pick a date/time for a lunch ride and see who shows up.
What he said! :)

I've been known to hit Maupin for lunch so a RTE is the way to go. Plan it for somewhere central to PDX / SEA and we'll come out of the proverbial woodwork. ;)

Hello.

I am located in Corvallis. Got an FJR in April this year. Food and lies work for me too.

I'll keep you posted when I get out. Do the same and I'm sure we can make something happen sooner rather than later.

The casino at warm springs has an excelent resturant and there a lots of good roads to get there.

And don't forget that there is a RTE, BYOL to Windy Ridge on September 24th. 11am to 1pm or longer.

ps: come by my place on the way up and we can ride together. :friends:

Ken, I had planned on making the Volcano ride. I will keep in touch.

I ride through Corvallis two or three times a year. Took a little hundred mile local trip on Tuesday and went through Albany Let me know when you have some spare riding time and I will join you. Maybe a ride to the coast?

Last year I attended the Maupin Romp along with MCRIDER-007 and a third rider who showed up on Saturday. We discussed having the Romp in a different location and at an earlier time, but have not heard anymore about the statis of the event this year. I would be willing to attend a little Romp in fossil or Condon. The problem with Maupin is the high price of lodging.

Lunch in Warm Springs sounds good. Ray, why don't you propose a time and I am sure there would be some turnout from this area including me.

I will try to come up with something in the near future. I need to learn how to handle multiple quotes. I am retired so work would not interfere with a luncheon date for me, but could be a hassle for you worker bees. Any help in setting this up would be appreciated.

If you look on the lower right corner, You will see "Multi Quote". Click that once. Then scroll to the next post you want to quote and do the same thing. When finished, Click the "Reply" button next to the "multi Quote" button. :)

My Father lives in Sutherlin, And i threaten to take a ride up there all the time, But usually it's in the work cage. ;)

Thanks for the information. I haven't needed to use multQuote much in the past, but now I am prepared for the future.

Come up with the bike sometime and we can show you some great roads and scenery.

Jer, leaving Stowe VT for Salem early in the AM. Spotwall here pw = NERDS... wanna meet up?
Don, I would love to meet up with you, but got a call from my best Bud in Boise yesterday and will meet up with his Boise Harley Club friends Thursday in Sweet Home Oregon for a ride To Newport, Astoria, Cascade Locks, and Sumter, Oregon. I have riden with this bunch before to Yellowstone and the Califoria Redwoods. Normally about twelve Harleys and my friend Brent's C1400and of course my fabulous FJR.

Hey, you have a great trip and I hope the old girl doesn't break down on you. The old Harley I mean.

I reread your post and my reply assumed you were heading for Stowe and invited me along. I would love to meet up with you and I have a nice little luncheon ride all worked out. I know you would enjoy it. The only problem is that after Thursday I won't be back in Salem until Sunday. I will send you a PM with my cell phone number.

Headin' to Winchester Bay this Thursday for some seafood. I see that you've got something going on already. I'll keep you posted for more rides in September.

Yes, leaving in the morning. Let me know about your next ride. We will be in Newport Thursday night, but it's mostly a bunch of big ol Harleys. There will be one FJR though and a C1400.
