I'd vote for the Bandit 1250 too. Traded mine in on the FJR, liked everything about it except the protection from the elements.

Is this helmet designed to accept speakers? I have an old Nolan N100 that speakers will not fit in properly.

My experience is that they work pretty well. However, as others have said, they work better when used with a heated jackect liner and dual temp controller. I have all three (Gerbing) and they are a must have for anything below 40 degrees. Install a Powerlet adapter and you sre good to go.

Jim- it also helps if you have a torque wrench, had to borrow one from a friend when I did mine.

I have also had good luck with the Shinko 009 on my last bike (Suzuki Bandit 1250, 12K on the rear). However, a friend riding a C14 only got 5 K on his 009 rear on his bike. Don't be surprised to not get the same kind of wear on a bigger, heavier bike such as a C14 or FJR.

RadioHowie- Thanks for the explanation on the source of the clunk on initial start when the motor is cold. Now I finally understand what that God awful clunking noise is when I fire up the bike when it's cold, thanks!
