Trying to install Admore lighting kit for the V46. Need to get the E panel off to access the wiring harness connector. Sounds simple enough, but apparently not. I've removed all bolts and quick fasteners the manual calls for, but for the life off me the panel won't come loose. I don't want to break anything. Any suggestions welcome.

I have an '05 so this might not help, but once you have the fasteners out... it slides forward to disconnect from the rear plastic. Mine also has a small black panel just below the tank which has a fastener and also a post on the backside that snaps in to a rubber grommit.

It's only intimidating the first time.

On the bottom of the side panel there is a split mount that lives in a fat grommet. Gently pull the bottom outward and the panel will release.

Doing a quick count, there are at least seven (7) fasteners that need to be removed. You did remember the quick fastener underneath at the bottom rear and the screw at the center stand lift...yes?

Have a look Here for any hiding fasteners.
