    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

Yeah very interested to see what you are coming up with. A guy that is helping me with some sheetmetal work has access to some batteries that supposedly are the same or nearly the same size as our motorcycle batteries but have very high amps. Not sure if you've seen them or know what I'm...

    Reverse Trike

Nice weather this weekend so I got quite a bit done. I finally got some paneling done for the rear so it's not just wide open like it was before. I could have done a better job if I was a sheet metal guy and had all the right tools but I think it came out pretty nice after powder coating. I...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

Actually I do know that it does not require cycling the key switch for sure. I have had the sensor just sitting on top of the frame rail and started the bike then the vibration would rattle it off and it would trip the sensor so I would walk back and set it back up again and restart the bike...

    Reverse Trike

Just a quick update. I've been making a lot of progress lately but it's mostly little stuff not worth taking pictures of. Still a little slower than I would like but that's mainly because of all this freezing weather and snow!! Anyway, I did get the right side air scoop and radiator finished...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

Interesting?? I assume you are talking about your trike and not a 2-wheel bike? Hmmm. well all I can do is wait for this freezing weather and snow to pass and finish the trike up and then bypass that sensor and see if that's what it was... I'll let everyone know. It will be interesting to...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

Nice man! I see you also went with the marine push/pull cable for the shifter. Man that works so good and soooooo much easier than I had worried about early on because before I thought of that idea I was thinking I would have to do a bunch of linkages and rods etc. <_<

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

I actually havent taken much time to figure that out quite yet so I'm not sure. I was going to ask you if you knew a way... ;) I tried disconnecting it but the bike won't even start so we'll have to bypass it somehow...

Cool deal, yeah money is cutting into my shoptime. :angry2: I want to work on it so badly but there's almost nothing I can do right now without certain parts I need to buy... Oh well, I have some powder coating jobs coming so shouldn't be long...

Ok got all the controls mounted back in and wiring harness hooked up, battery installed etc. etc. Got it started again, headlights on and cables all run and mounted down. The past week I got the subframe powder coated and hand built a little sheetmetal cover for the rear right over the top of...

    Reverse Trike

Ok here's some pics of the frame after powder coating; Here's the swingarm I did this weekend, now I just need to get a new sticky tire and then I can remount the bike to the frame. This is after shooting the chrome base, then the candy red and the white, strategically placed so the...

    Reverse Trike

Yeah I'm still not really sure how I'm going to do reverse... and yeah it's definitely the torque. If I push harder the motor just stops. Still brainstorming...
