    Reverse Trike

Woohoo been bustin' my ass the past week and I got most everything powder coated and ready to install! Here's a pic of all the control arms and rods calipers etc. I also just did the tank using that same wrinkle powder and it looks sick! Also just picked up the frame from the powder...

    Reverse Trike

Reattached the bike to the frame last night to make some last minute tweaks and add some extra strengthening supports to the rear of the frame then disconnected the two again and loaded the frame up in my trailer. Drug the trailer along with me to work today and dropping it off at a powder...

    Reverse Trike

Update; No pics right now but I did get the frame all smoothed out and finished up the welds on the underside so I think I'm ready to sandblast it and get it over to the powder coater in the next week or so. I did get the left side control arms all smoothed out and cleaned up and powder coated...

So did you get a chance to put that all together and did it work for you? Any new progress pics for us?! :D

Yeah it works perfect, no leaks or anything. Just sand the face of that fitting down super smooth so you get a good seal.

I'm sorry I told you I would post these and I didn't. Here they are. And yes I did use flare connections, you can rent a flare tool at Checker or Autozone if you don't have one. This is the end that connects directly to the stock clutch banjo This is the end that I connect to the banjo on...

I just got it at the auto parts place, they have them at hardware stores too. You just need to maybe take a little sand paper to it to really smooth the mating surface out to be sure and also use washers obviously. I'll take a pic here in a minute and post it.

So what are you using for your pedal assembly then? Are you going with the clutch on a handle instead of the foot pedal? I just used some hard line from the pedal assembly back to just before it goes through the rear firewall and then from there to the bike (both clutch and brake) I connected...

    Reverse Trike

LOL, that's funny you say that, one of my neighbors calls me a maniac because he sees me out there working constantly. :) Funny as it is I'm actually doing more than what you mention but I manage. I still have fun with my wife and daughter. I'm getting ready to start a Cafe racer project...

    Reverse Trike

Me too!! I'm getting so exited about it I can't stand it but I have all these powder coating jobs for other people that I have to do before I can work on it. It's driving me nuts working in the garage next to it calling out my name... :clapping: "finish me!!!".

    Reverse Trike

Made some progress the past few days. Feels weird taking it all apart after working so hard to build it... Can't wait to get started powder coating everything! The only thing my oven isn't big enough for is the frame so it kind of sucks to have to farm it out but oh well I'm getting a good...

Sweet, moving along fast! Wish I had as much room as it looks like you do... Sure makes it easier to work on things. I did quite a bit of work on mine this weekend myself.

It's actually Chinese and stands for the word commitment. Sort of to signify my dedication to the project and how I never give up and finish what I start. I'm also studying Mandarin for my job so it wasnt just some random chiinese I picked.

    Reverse Trike

Ok so I was going to keep this quiet but it turned out so nice I had to show it off. This is the black heavy wrinkle powder I'm going to be using on a lot of the trike and I think it's a sick ass color! Here is my trike name in it's finished state. Now I just have a ton of work ahead of me to...

Yeah good info that's appreciated! I was considering a second battery so maybe that's what I'll do.

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

Oh, and I'm not necessarily running my fans through the "system" I'm direct connecting them to the battery and a toggle so I can have them on and off when needed...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

So do you think the system is different than other yamahas that have twin fans? I would think it could handle 2 but I will definitely take your advise into consideration because I'm looking at doing 3.

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

Ok, yeah if you are routing air around with a scoop and the fan/radiator are in the same place then that makes sense. Oh on another note, not sure if you thought about this or not but when I was test driving and taking hard corners the bike would die for a second and then kick back on. At...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

I thought about that but it would have taken up too much room underneath and I'm already worried about bottoming out if I come to a speedbump... :)
