    85 Octane in The FJR

Timely post. Thanks I just returned from an 11 state trip, and, were available, I too used the 85 obtain (even a couple of ethanol free locations along the way) with no apparent ill-effects. Over all,(4300 miles) I averaged 47+ mpg. Very happy with that mileage. :) Keep Going!

    Stevens Pass Emphasis

WSP was still working hard in this area yesterday morning around 10am east bound, just past the summit. One marked SUV tucked in nicely in a pull out area on the right side of the road facing the opposite direction, and at least one, very plain looking unmarked dark gray sedan with tinted...

    Rain Care for FJR

90K plus in three years of riding year around in the Pacific Northwet. Many many thousands of miles in rain with a good share of wet snow and slush thrown in. The only extra care taken as a result, is to make sure all pivot points and exposed switches are well lubed and greased. No issues...

    Windy Ridge Mt. St. Helens

Because of the rectangular rear turn signals and the round mirrors, I'd say this is a 1979 GL 1000. Thanks for sharing your ride Jim. Enjoyed it! I too road a CB450 back in the early 70's. My wife and I went to every corner of the state and most places in-between on that machine, rain or...

ATGATT Different Sport - Same Impact

Today's 6th stage of the Tour De France took a toll on some. Tomorrow's mountain stage will be a relief for many riders caught up in some very serious crashes in the first week's "Sprint Stages." While the sprint finishes have been very competitive, it's always dangerous, especially during the...

    GPS

I think you'll find the answer to your problem tomorrow after speaking with Garmin. On the few occasions I have had the need to contact them (I have two Nuvi devices) they have always had the ability to asses and address the issues. On the other hand, I can't see why Walmart would not replace...

    Dino Daze 2012

Very Nice Bryan! The TMC is truly revered in the MC community in these parts. Many memories were relived reading your RR. I remember very clearly driving down to Castle Rock, WA and watching Steve Baker compete with the dig guns on the flat Track down there. He made all of us north-westerners...

    Happy Birthday Mount Rainier

Thank you gentlemen. Much appreciated.... :drinks: The day was special for a number of reasons. One being that thirteen months ago I had some heart issues that resulted in an angioplasty and stenting. This past Friday, after a year of refocusing on fitness, my Cardiologist ordered a stress...

    PR 2's for 262.00

I needed a front tire fairly soon and looked at the Competition Accessories site and wondered about the shipping time. Site said Free Shipping but wasn't more specific so I called to inquire about shipping time. I was told they had plenty of them in stock and I would receive it within 5 days...

    Damtour Continues!

:clapping: Good to see you guys sharing the fun Jim. Oregon's roads are the best in the PNW! I noticed the a new top case. You'll like it, but be careful, they hold a lot of stuff. Cheese, salami, good breads and even oysters if packed right, but you already know all that. Oh, and the...
