Thank You I've always wondered how the bikes were prepared.

Mostly trout. They were plants though. I believe, before my time, there were natives but thats history.

Hey wheaton Thats a great route. Can't add much other than when you get up toward snowshoe there are a couple options. One is Cass railroad. You can ride an old steam train to the top of cheat mountain. The other is the national observatory in greenbank. Both good side trips if staying...

Well...we are at the end of our trip thru the West Virginia countryside. Here's some of the family welcoming me home...

Looking from church across the road. I always wonder about the lives of people who would have built this farm and lived in remote places like this. Probably not the same as portrayed on TV.. :) Must have been a hard but peaceful life. Not many distractions...other than work.

Top of the hill is pretty flat. Elevation around 3000 feet though. They do plow the road but its the last on their route. If you live up here..plan on being snowed in for a while. Stopped at this church for a cigarette. I doubt God will mind.

Wifes home..gotta go..finish later. Be thinking windshields.. :rolleyes:

This is half way up the hill. Not really a mountain as the name suggests. If you get more up toward Snowshoe and Seneca Rocks they're pretty close to what i would call mountains. We used to live in Washington State..there were mountains there. Thats kind of what I compare mountains to...

Always liked this farm. The "big" house I passed a ways back and didn't get a pic. The barns and field have more beauty anyway.

Thanks for the bike compliment...Today is my first real ride. I love the bike. I'm being sincere to. If I didn't I'd say so. When you get this way..if ya want..I can show you some of the roads here abouts.

Pic of the creek under the bridge.. Used to be good fishing. Will be heading up that road to the left of the creek.

Anyhow..Guess I'll head over Muddy Creek mountain. Haven't been there in a while. There is about 2-3 miles of gravel along the way but its mostly packed. Shouldn't be a problem. First stop is the covered bridge.

Headed to the Library to try to find out WHY is Lewisburg so cool. Come to find out its was a travel magazine . They said it was an internet poll of some sort. Bet only the town of Lewisburg was told of the poll.. :D Its a cool town...I guess..but definately NOT the coolest. But I...

Its a balmy 45 degrees here today so I thought a trip to town would be good. Bet ya didn't know Lewisburg is the "Coolest Town in the USA"... Neither did I... :lol:

Got the steed out of the barn. I think she's ready this time..no battery issues, she started right up. oops...forgot I wasn't supposed to mention the B word... :P Then I checked the oil. BTW...what kind of oil do you guys recommmm.. oops.
