What did Yamaha do to reduce the heat in the Gen II's? Is it redirected? Better air flow? Insulation? Or did they just reduce the speed/performance of the Gen II's so they don't put out as much heat? :unsure:

I had PR's on my VFR800 and got just under 12,000 miles out of them running at 37 & 42 psi. I bought the PR2's after that but only had about 1000 miles on them before trading it in on the FJR. I am buying them for my FJR today. Buy Here

It was pretty fast...maybe around 5 hz. And once it started I couldn't get it stopped completely until I got down to about 70mph. After it was stable I went back up to about 90mph with no issues.

This morning on the way to work I had some wide open road with no traffic so I opened it up. At 131 mph (GPS) it started the death wobble. I backed off and got it under control but that scared the hell out of me! Anyone else have this problem? If so, at what speed? What has been your top...

Oh, that makes since now. These with the elastic and buckle in the center (For a quick disconnect) work great! I hated opening the cases and having crap fall out.

Sure, I could make you some. No, I used Shoe Goo It very flexable and holds great. I bought the buckles at the hardware store for about $1.20 each and bought 5 yards of 1"elastic band off ebay for dirt cheap. (I have plenty of elastic band left over)

I have Oxtar's also, great boot, no leakage yet, 5 years old. I haven't put anything on them yet but after reading this I think I will try some snow seal.

Thanks for the replies! Yes, I have a Gen 1. Are the seats that much different? Also, I meant butt "pan" not pad. My Corbin seat measures 14" if it is 12 or so that would be great!

Could someone that has a Sargent seat do me a big favor and measure from the center of the front of the seat to beginning lip of the butt pad? I have a Corbin that sits back too far for me and don't want to spend more money if the Sargent is the same. Thanks so much, LW
