For the folks running Michelin Pilot Road 2CT tires, some q's when you get a chance,

1. what's your body weight with gear and passenger if applicable?

2. Are you running 39psi front, and 42 psi rear?

3. What kind of tire life/mileage are you getting out of them, front and rear?

4. IF you were running the plain/orig Pilot Road (non 2ct)... does the 2ct version wear quicker, longer or about the same?

I had PR's on my VFR800 and got just under 12,000 miles out of them running at 37 & 42 psi. I bought the PR2's after that but only had about 1000 miles on them before trading it in on the FJR. I am buying them for my FJR today. Buy Here

205 with gear...passanger rarely, 42 front, 42 back, 13k miles on my first set of PR2's. First 2 sets of tires Metz Z6 & Conti Road Attack, lasted 8k each. Currently on my second set of PR2's with about 4k miles on them...I like'm :good:

LOVE IT! My orig PR 1's are on 9K both front and rear. I need to replace the front because of excessive side wear (i like to drag knee in high speed sweepers). The rear tire could easily make it to 12-14K... there's like 50% tread left. what sucks is that Michelin discontinued the front orig. PR. They only make the 2ct now. I used to get them from Cyclegear.com, but they're out of stock. Westin Power Sports, who supplies most motorcycle dealers, says they're out of stock as well.

I tried to find a PR1 front tire on ebay, but got skiddish when I heard stories of people getting tires that were stored in the sun, or in wharehouses where the temps shot up to 120-140 degrees (Arizona, Utah, etc.).

I'd rather suck it up and get new tires front and back. Besides, I'm curious to see how different the PR 2 ct performs vs the PR1.

In essence, glad to hear the PR 2 ct is good on mileage. I'm doing the tire swap on Tuesday, and will update.

My weight is 210 lbs. I have over 10,000 trouble free miles on them with over 5,000 of those miles traveling thru Canada and Alaska. I have always ran 40 front, 42 rear. Wear has been quite even. No flat center rear, or tapered/feathered front. The PR2's will be my tire of choice for the FJR>

1. what's your body weight with gear and passenger if applicable? That's a rather personal question.

2. Are you running 39psi front, and 42 psi rear? No.

3. What kind of tire life/mileage are you getting out of them, front and rear? 10K+ had more left but it was time.

4. IF you were running the plain/orig Pilot Road (non 2ct)... does the 2ct version wear quicker, longer or about the same? N/A
I hope that helped, happy Friday. ;)
