Anybody have any experience with these handguards from Australia...they attach on the bar ends but don't appear to work with a throttlemeister. They don't offer much crash protection but sure would be nice on those cold mornings we have here in Florida...three or four days a year...bigjimbiker...

I purchased a new 08AE in 09 at a healthy discount and am very happy with the bike. Put new tires on at 8,000 miles and the tech noticed some leakage on the right fork. Yamaha footed the bill for replacement parts and after a two week wait for one backorded seal I was back on the road and...

+1...also, the RF1100 is very stable at speed. My old Zox would really get buffeted but the Shoei cuts through the air like a hot knife through butter. I can even cruise the slab with the windshield in the lowest setting, my preferred position for hot days. Like Happy says, the ventilation...

Bin working on my "stoppies"...which are also impossible although I've found out what "sliders" are for... :o (...always thought they were little hamburgers :P )

Thanks Rhody...I just replaced the OE Metzlers (8,000 miles) with Michelin PR 2's. Out the door I paid about $450.00 which included mounting on the bike, a new set of 90 degree valve stems, disposal fee, tax, etc. I'm hoping to get a few more miles out of this set...bigjimbiker :rolleyes:

I admit tire pressure is probably the main culprit but another could be the suspension settings on the forks. When I first started riding my 08 it felt sort of like you described but after stiffening up the setttings the handling immediately improved, as did my confidence...bigjimbiker :rolleyes:
