    ABS module removal

I don't have the answer to your question, but why not bypass the ABS altogether and just run a brake line to the rear caliper? You could control both front and rear from a car-type master cylinder with a proportioning valve to adjust rear brake bias. The ABS sensor disconnected in the rear...

    Custom paint color choices

Update: I've decided on these two colors: Rat Rod Flat Black Pro Street Red In this configuration: Bad editing job, but you get the idea.

    Live, naked, put away wet

Currently finished in black sandable primer. The wife has to decide if she wants this bike instead of her GS500F. I'm hoping she opts for the ZR, so it can also be a good 2nd bike for me. :D Either way, it's getting red AND flat black this winter, as I'm painting Feej with red and flat...

    Live, naked, put away wet

This is a 2002 ZR7-S that I bought from FJRay on this forum. It was wrecked in the front and pretty much totaled. It would cost a lot to get the fairing and all of the plastics for it, so I decided to make it naked. It's running now, just needs paint and a few details (and better weather).

    My Riding Podna, Nick

Ah, another divorce thread. Always good for a lot of mileage. Went to dinner with some friends last week, and once the subject turned to divorce, I knew it was over. We didn't talk about anything else after that. Everyone at the table had a story, myself included. Good luck to Nick. At...

First time since I bought the bike in June that I didn't...

I, too have found myself getting soft and taking the cage way too often, for convenience, and I'm a little rattled from all the accidents in the NW this year. Nonetheless, this kind of talk does not belong here. Lashes to us all!

High Falls on the Vermillion River in the Fall

Just came across this. Looks like a beautiful day. Did a similar trip last Saturday. A little wet, but didn't have to share the roads much.

    How to ride the Interstate

The staggered formation described recommends a 2-second following distance to the bike in front of you that is on your side of the lane. None of the bikes should ride parallel to each other as these guys tend to like to do.

Probably going to build a trailer

I've had lots of cheap trailers (car and motorcycle) with 8" wheels and never had a problem towing up to 80mph. That said, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to upgrade that HF cargo trailer to 12" wheels. You just have to figure out how to mount the fenders a couple inches higher.

Probably going to build a trailer

To answer your question, the HF trailer does NOT come with LED lights. You should be able to run the stock lights behind your FJR if you want, but you will need a 4-to-3 wire converter (usually on the tow vehicle side). Other choice is to run separate brake and turn signal lights on the...

    another PDX visit :)

Just move here already and be done with it! I have an extra bike... if you want to ride my wife's 500 while we all laugh at you. I might be able to fit something in one of those days.

    Review: FieldSheer Adventure Pants

Exactly what I was thinking. There is a stretch panel of very heavy elastic on both sides of the waist. Taking out these panels and lengthening the velcro flaps is all I need to do, along with adding longer leg zippers and fixing the fly zipper.

    Review: FieldSheer Adventure Pants

I bought a pair from Bike Bandit this summer, but did not wear them much until the weather got a little cooler. Problems I had with the pants: 1. The zipper on the fly ripped out, twice. I sent the first pair back after I noticed the zipper was broken when I tried them on. I requested a...

Wanted: Stock Seat and Laminar Lip

I don't trust the Duolock fasteners that come with the lip. For one, it seems like it takes not enough effort to remove the lip from the windshield. Two, with frequent removal/replacement, it sticks less and less securely. If it flew off on the trailer, it is conceivable that it could fly off...

Wanted: Stock Seat and Laminar Lip

My lip has holes drilled in it with nylon spacers. But I will sell you the lip and mounting hardware if you're interested. $40 shipped sound OK? I will clean it up and take a picture first if you want.
