We had a few nice days since I got back from EOM, but for the last week, it's been cold and raining non-stop. Tres ******.

Well today when I got up the sun was trying its damndest to bust through the clouds, even though the radar had rain all around us. So I grabbed my gear and headed for just north of Dowling, about 20 minute ride from my home.

Ooo did I need a ride something fierce!

The sun co-operated mostly and snapped some pics of the fall colours from the A.Y. Jackson lookout at High Falls on the Vermillion River. Leaves are about 50% or so up here. I'm going to head out for some real scenery tomorrow as it looks to be the only day this week where they aren't calling for rain ALL day. Ugh, 2 weeks of rain isn't good for the mental health.

The view from the lookout, you can see fall foliage is moving right along. I'm guessing it will peak by next weekend

Close up view, theirs something about the noise from water falls that is really soothing.

This area is home to an exhibit of old mining equipment as part of a geological tour of the area.

Just think, me and my bud here were tooling around in 82F through the Mtns of Tennessee just a few days ago. A good friend for sure!

Not many tourista's out today. Shame to let a little rain spoil the beauty just out side my door.

Tomorrow, Hwy 129 (Not the Dragon dammit!) along the Mississaugi River up to Aubrey Falls. Better bring my spot tracker, everybodies mangina's around here are full of sand. Nobody wants to come and play. Fock'em!

Just came across this. Looks like a beautiful day. Did a similar trip last Saturday. A little wet, but didn't have to share the roads much.
