Why does TBS help with engine vibs?

Do the throttle body sinc. and you will feel the difference. Search this topic and you will find some good ideas. I personnally adjusted the butterflies at 4000rpm with a load on the engine. This got rid of all the vibration. Then I sincronized the idle control. All good now.

    Need some highway peg advice

I would like to buy just the plates and mounting hadware from either Wild Bill or MCL but can't find that option on the internet. Does WB have a website? Got the pegs and extenders all ligned up already.

    Corbin Seat

The stitched design definitely looks better. :)

Considering used: should I be afraid of the auto-clutch?

I bought my AE in June. 3 weeks later one of my friends that rode my bike bought one too. Now a third friend bought one. 3 FJRs, 3 AE's. Can't beat the ride.

    New seat better?

I bought a Corbin seat on Ebay and life is a lot better. I imagine a Russell could be even better, but unless you are doing lot's of distance, Corbin or Sargent could work for you very well.

After less than two months with an AE.......shame on Yamaha Customer Service

Many dealers have no experience with the AE at all. When I brought in my AE for some recall work, they wouldn't ride it at all. They just pushed it around. They said they never sold an AE before. That sure boosts your confidence when you pick up your bike after work has been done to it.

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

Enough with the impressions. Just buy it, install it and enjoy. Best money I've spent on the bike so far except for the Audiovox cruise and corbin seat. :)

    Audiovox ccs100 cruise not working

ALL FIXED NOW!!! Tied the brown and red wires together, continued on with the brown wire to a new single pole, double throw momentary micro-switch which is conveniently integrated in the housing of the shift switch. Looks real pro. Went on it's maiden voyage and it works great. The added bonus...

    Audiovox ccs100 cruise not working

Let you all know in an hour. It is in the shop right now and the first thing I will do is give the brown wire the 12 volts it is looking for.

    Audiovox ccs100 cruise not working

Thanks for your reply. You are right in saying that the black wire from the keypad isn't hooked up. I'll try that, but I plan to bypass the on/off switch altogether and put a ignition power to the brown wire. I'll work on it again tomorrow. Thanks

    Audiovox ccs100 cruise not working

The relay was installed because of a recommendation by Smitty's. This just confirms a good ground when brakes aren't applied. I will re-check the "ON" button but I thought it was a temporary on/off switch, not a constant on/off switch.

    Audiovox ccs100 cruise not working

I'm trying to control the servo with the proper keypad. As said before every wire color has the proper input when commanded by the keypad except the brown wire. As you push the "on" button, there is a 12 volt power on the brown wire. As you release the button, the power is gone. According the the...

    Audiovox ccs100 cruise not working

I've installed the Audiovox ccs100 on my '07 AE (which is a pain because of location of servo). My problem is, it won't activate. The pinout test shows everything correct except that the brown wire will not hold power when the "ON" button is pressed. According to the pin out test this wire is...

    Schuberth C3 Owners - Sizing

I bought a Schuberth 2 months ago. What a nice helmet. I did the same thing. Went to the dealer and tried some on and found the right size for me. Then once I made my choice, I bought one out of Germany. Saved a lot of money. It did take two weeks to get but was worth the wait.

The Really, Definitely Completely Un-Authorized TBS

It would be great to be able to communicate with a technician that sets up race bikes on the track. I imagine they study this kind of thing to death, because the more HP, the more speed.

The Really, Definitely Completely Un-Authorized TBS

As I replied to the last post, I realized that nobody actually measured the amount of vacuum present at 65 mph cruising. I just installed a cruise control, to it will be easy to take this measurement. Once we have this vacuum reading, (which is a measurement of engine load that the MAP sensor...

Did you load up the engine by roughly the same amount as if you were riding?

    Cruise control

I just installed the Audiovox on a 1300AE and it was a bit of a pain. The servo could not be installed under the seat as the extra computer was in the way. I put it in the front where the top of the frame comes together. I tried it and doesn't work. All the inputs are correct but it is almost...

The Really, Definitely Completely Un-Authorized TBS

I don't think the speed of the rear tire has as much to do with the set-up as the ability to put a descend load on the engine at 4000rpm and the ability to control it at that rpm as you increase load. I found it easy to raise the rpm to 4000 and then increase load and increase throttle at the...
