Nice to have a gen1 isn't it!! that's 165MPH and you won't find a gen2 that can even get close to that kind of speed. BTW: and this engine can run on the redline or past repeatedly, hell the rev-limiter is the only way I know when it's time to shift.

This is actually the one you want. You can most easily identify the 2006 and newer as they're most often seen in the rear view mirror of the Gen1 bikes. That is when they're not on the side of the road with an electrical issue.

When I first stumbled on to this forum it was DCarver who took the time to help. He was instrumental in guiding me through all things FJR. There is no doubt that without his help and mentoring, I'd be on to another bike, and would have never experienced the utopia of FJR ownership...

That is a bit of an exaggeration --->but after this weekend it may very well be true. Nevada style rally, who knows what might be on the bonus sheet.
