I NEVER got more than 5,000 miles on any of the 3 sets I had on my 03. I would be thrilled if I got 6,000 on my 07. I'm running slightly higher pressure now than in 03-04. 40 vs 36psi

I had a fork seal go out on my 03 with 8,000 miles and it wasn't covered. I would replace the brake pads but I don't think its necessary to replace the tire. I would think if you took it easy for 40-50 miles any effects from the oil would be worn off. I wouldn't be scraping pegs on it for a...
I left the house 6:00 am thursday and got back home at 5:45 pm thursday. Did 600 miles and never left the state.
I'm so disappointed. I hooked up with Petey and we made it to Guymon, OK by noon. I started feeling a bit dizzy around 10:00. By noon I wasn't feeling well at all so I thought it...
Tulsa............since I only made it half way to Golden I might make it to Tulsa and treat you to some grub.
25,000 in 8 months? Seems impossible.

Well I got home last thursday about 5:45 pm. Thats right I rode 6 hrs after picking up Petey in Stillwater OK and wound up getting Sick in the panhandle of OK. Rode 600 miles and never got out of OK. LOL
Petey, glad you made it ok there and back. I put on that cool vest after lunch and started...
Thats great news Mike. I'm glad you're going to make it.
I thought I was too, but alas 6 hrs into the ride I got sick and had to turn back and go home. I left Petey to soldier on. I hope he made it OK.
I never thought you'd feel like making it after your little get off. Good for you.

Yes there is a fix. There are 3 total springs hooked to the throttle. The stiffest is the middle one. You can unwind it 1 time and the throttle is easier to twist.
Go to google and put in fjrforum unwind throttle spring. it will shoe you pics and explain it all.
I don't recall any drive shaft failures, I'll have to do the research. I've been following the boards since spring of 02 and don't remember any failures. Well ..........there was 1 fellow named Gilbo on the Euro board that had his fluid leak out onto his back tire causing him to go down on a...
You guys are more brave than I am. I've never gotten over 5,000 miles on a set of tires. I have 2200 on mine now. I'm worried about making it back to and from Denver from OKC.
I get women at the office telling me I'm good looking..............and you don't look your age.
Problem is they're all 75-80 years old and need Cataract surgery. LOL

The operative word then in the manual is PROLONGED. Short burst to red line would be fine, staying there would not. Sounds like Motoman and Yamaha aren't too far apart after all.
