I routinely run well-maintained gravel (meaning a packed track, not freshly graded) at 50mph. Freshly-graded is a different story, and introduces more pucker factor. The touring setting is a good idea, but like Sullivan said, don't overthink it. At 20mph, there's not a lot of handling to gain...

Thanks Mike, but the burden is only as big as the organizer wants it to be. You can approach it as a simple weekend ride with buddies (which really is the heart of the matter), or as a full-on EVENT! with swag, banquets, special guests, bands, strippers, burn-out contests, fireworks, etc. And...

In addition to my commitments to attend CFR and EOM, two rallies I've yet to hit, maybe SFO, and other summer obligations, I'm stepping away from organizing CFO for this year. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have to happen. I wasn't granted magical powers to put on a rally...just goofy enough...

Home at 8:40 last night. MAJOR kudos to Turk and Jana for a first-class rally. Food, entertainment (including Turk full of Honey Jack), and a big-*** "far" on Saturday night. Fantastic time!
