I have one too. Under the seat....no problems. I liked the design of being able to change from powered to switched (although I have never changed anything). I also liked the the easy install.

Some other suggestions. Sea World SD Zoo (one of the worlds best). They have Pandas SD Wild Animal Park (an extention of the zoo) Hotel Coronado (great place to have lunch on the deck overlooking the Pacific) Sightseeing cruise of the harbour.

I also prefer the sporting side to the FJR. My previous bike was a Ducati 999. When I bought the Russell, I invested in another stock seat from Gary McCoy, as I wanted the benefits of both. However, I now find that more often than not, I just leave the Russell on and don't swap the seats...

Like others have said family gets the first priority. I have 3 children and at this stage in life, they come first. They usually have sport on Saturdays and I enjoy watching. I am sure that in years to come, I will have more time to do other things. LAroo

Yes I used that heat shield kit on my 2005. The heat wasn't a major problem for me but the speedzone kit certainly improved things. I now never notice the heat. However I do wear ATGATT which also reduces the effect of a 1300cc engine sitting beneath my legs.
