    YFO 2017 - Yosemite and Beyond - June 1-3, 2017

As stated in original post, I found this picture on Reddit. I tried to go back and get original posters info, but Reddit is almost impossible to search. While doing a Google image search, I found that someone on Reddit has already Photoshopped it: I do have the original copy I saved, a 1600...

What Generation are 2016 and 2017 FJRs?

I was looking at the "Yamaha Design Cafe" web site,(at yamaha-motor.eu) and noticed they are calling the 2016 the fifth generation.(FWIW, YMMV) Regardless they have some interesting info on the FJR. I especially like the original article on the development of the FJR, and the article that shows...

Found this picture posted on Reddit by a tourist. Might be Don with two other FJR's and a Harley?

    Front vs Rear Tire Wear

Over the approx. 60,000 miles I had my '03, the rear tire always wore out first. With my '14, both front tires have worn out first. I'm wondering if the new fork spring/damper arrangement affects front tire wear? Or maybe I have developed a lighter throttle hand in my old age.

    Favorite Photo of your FJR

Great pictures from you people! I have so many of my own to choose from; but I'll start with my gone but not forgotten '03.

God Bless Our State Agencies (Wa. State)

I try to never participate in threads with even a whiff of political content, but both articles had the quote: "an estimated $8.3 million in additional annual safety costs". I am genuinely curious as to what these costs could be. I couldn't find any more information with a quick search. Any...

    Now the '05 Radiator's Shot--Now What?

Hi Mike, When my '03 got a hole in the radiator, I sent it to Myler's radiator repair in Utah. Fixed it for about $55. It was an excellent welded repair and was still holding 40000 miles later. Crap, just tried to get his web page, and it wouldn't open. Don't know if that's a bad sign or just...

Mad River Burger Bar RTE 5/7/16

If you would quit wearing those low cut shirts and leaning over, you wouldn't have that problem.

    RIP Beemerdons

Oh God, I have nothing profound to say. I feel like I've lost a best friend, even though we only met a few times. His larger than life forum persona was quickly shown to be a slight exaggeration when you met the "real" Don. He was a warm, loving, and caring person who would give you the shirt...

When Niehart, Petey and Chuy were Tool Makers!

I remember when we had to slam oxygen and hydrogen atoms together to make our own water.

    New Camera - Light L16

Saw this the other day and was intrigued. I had my finger on the button to reserve, but chickened out.

600 Mile Initial Service Screw Up

As others have said, at least they owned up and are making it right. It could be worse, You could have done it yourself, with a crescent wrench, to your new '03 with 800 miles on it!

    Borderline dangerous epic adventure wanted

Style criticisms aside, it sounds like a great trip for a great kid. (And his father.) The places you mention all hold the possibility for adventure. Yosemite is an excellent place for adventure; reserve a tent cabin, or just show up and hope for a cancellation. I've been lucky twice. Also...

Redfish and Pop go to Arkansas

Very nice, RH. Glad you and your Dad had a good one. I agree with your tire opinion; I couldn't wait to get new tires on the '14. The stock tires followed every groove in the road. That '15 color is really growing on me.

Motoport testimonial (aka Hudson fall down, go boom.)

While I shed a tear over a beautiful MV, I will raise a glass to a well prepared (and lucky) man. Glad you're still "Upright and taking on coffee".

Beemerdon Compilation (Put all your BD jokes here)

At 00:42, Salma tires of Don's incessant "Hubba-Hubba" in her ear.
