I agree also on the TechSpec products, have the Snakeskin version myself & like it. They will do custom cutting also, I designed my own top panel that pretty much eliminates any possibility of tankbag marring.

My only concern is whether it has the ooomph to handle hi-amperage continual-load items such as auxiliary lighting? Other than that, everything about it would definitely seem to be "the way to go". Have sort of figured he'd get around to building it's 'big brother' eventually. Oh, ...sweet...

At ~7kmi I'm already seeing pits in the stock covers, so I have been interested in one type or the other of added cover but have concerns about holding in more heat when running +50 bulbs, so haven't pulled the trigger yet.
