Suuuweeeet Stable! Can't tell you like black at all........... Nice 'kids first car' saga, beautiful job! So neat that you still own it! Been down the "sows-ear into a silk-purse" road a time or two myself, never cheaper than buyin' the new one in the long haul, and "I don't even wanna talk...

    Whistling Sound at Idle

I've asked a mechanic experienced w/ the beast whom I'm inclined to trust, and he says it eminates from the straight-cut gears associated w/ the mechanical balancers, and is not abnormal.

Nice family photo! Both are sweet!! Does the oval vent by the bonnet indicate a twincam, I can't recollect all the identifiers? I'm currently encountering a bit of turmoil over my "need" vs my "wherewithal" regarding the early [small mouth] TR3 I've wanted to have for quite for awhile!

What a rodeo ride!! So glad you're both still fully functional!!!!!!! Thanks for the really fine & educational post complete w/ visuals! Those photos certainly won't hurt your chances in court should you decide to persue the issue. Your analysis is clearly spot-on, short of "just not bein'...

Tank side Protector for Gen II

I agree also on the TechSpec products, have the Snakeskin version myself & like it. They will do custom cutting also, I designed my own top panel that pretty much eliminates any possibility of tankbag marring.

My only concern is whether it has the ooomph to handle hi-amperage continual-load items such as auxiliary lighting? Other than that, everything about it would definitely seem to be "the way to go". Have sort of figured he'd get around to building it's 'big brother' eventually. Oh, ...sweet...

    cee bailey headlight covers

At ~7kmi I'm already seeing pits in the stock covers, so I have been interested in one type or the other of added cover but have concerns about holding in more heat when running +50 bulbs, so haven't pulled the trigger yet.

    rain gear

Have heard the Frog Togg name around for some time but have never seen a set first hand. Looking at their web page [thanks for the link Patriot] it looks as if they at least comprehend how the larger sizes are supposed to translate in terms of actual inches! Looking at the [rather small]...

Haven't been on the bike much lately...

Very Nice Indeed!!! My Dad was a master woodcrafter himself, [all I inherited was the eye for it] I know he'd have been most appreciative of that piece of work! Your folks will love it!

    Sidebag running/brake lights.

The wide spacing definitely adds to the visual impact [it'd be cool if they worked w/ your turn signals too]! I like it!! I have one of their license plate frames w/ two of the bars on it [& the flasher module also]. I've thought about the bags as a location for lights but haven't wanted to...

    Joe Cocker at Woodstock Revealed

...and Michael'd be right, I believe I'd also read that somewhere earlier; ...hence, the delayed reaction I had to realizing that's what he was saying would be because, ... WHO was completely wasted? Charlie Watts has been another R&R straightman; ...can't imagine what it's been like watchin'...
