    Right saddlebag flies off. WTF

The black plastic is ok. Its the silver fiberglass with the cracks. I'm glad that the part that holds the bag is ok. I won't worry about the cracks then.

    Slow & Painful Death

OK thanks for clearing that up. Moral of the story is( I think) that the stock battery will last at least 4 years so if the battery in your FJR is that old it may be a good idea to replace it.

    Right saddlebag flies off. WTF

I removed the saddle bag and noticed the forward upper notch in the fairing where the saddle bag is hung there are cracks in the two corners, as though pressure from a tip over might make with the weight of the bike resting on the saddlebag. This is turning into a mess. The cracks are only a...

    Russell Day-Long Touring Seat

You are not alone. I found out about 5 days ago and completely by accident. I even did as search for Russel Seats on this site and the thread never showed. I read some newbie's question about a group buy and on that thread someone pasted a link to the Russell Seat group buy.

    Right saddlebag flies off. WTF

I just went back and checked my bags. I notice that the right bag is inherently looser in place than the left bag. I tested this by grabbing each back and rocking each saddle bag. I bought this bike used so maybe something happend that I wasn't made aware of.

    Right saddlebag flies off. WTF

Yesterday on my way to work I'm going down a street with normal bumpy pavement about 37 mph and the right saddlebag flies off. I know it was attached properly. I want to know if this is a design flaw or just ' driving on uneven road surface will cause saddlebag ejection'. Anybody else experience...

    Killed my Engine

You should drain the oil and while doing so filter it through cheesecloth and see if you collect metal filings. If you do see filings I'm afraid the CCT is the least of your problems. I f it comes clean there might still be hope. But next time I change oil in mine I will check it for filings as...

    Biketoberfest is almost upon us...

I also got scared off from the weather report..."expect 1/2 inch of rainfall along the I-4 corridor". So I said screw that I am not going riding in rain. Well it never did rain so by 2 pm I went riding to Brooksville and that area. Never did rain the whole time. Will have to arrange another trip.

    Biketoberfest is almost upon us...

I am not on the list but I plan on being there. I am way further west than anyone on the list so I will have to be hauling *** to get there. Hope I don't get a ticket! I am anxious to see what all farkles were put on your Feejers. Mick

    Key West Bike Week(end)

IMO Key West is the last place you want to ride your FJR or any bike for that matter. Why? The traffic is horrendous, the HWY patrol are everywhere. 2 mph over the posted limit and BAMMO, here the red and blue lights come! Add to this the stop n go traffic flow. You will be breaking and...

    AsheTireTestingProgram

You probably should go with the Road Pilot Michelins. It seems from reading tire threads (on these boards)that the best tire for an FJR is the Road Pilot. Others cause front end shake, high-speed wobble.

If you had to move to a ideal place

Plus CA doesn't really qualify as best livable place. Taxes too high. Property values unrealistically high.
