I too just moved from the FJR to a K1600GT. Words can't really describe how much happier I am on the BMW. It's like this bike was made for me. So far, there don't seem to be many interested buyers for my Feej. Hoping that changes once tax returns start rolling in. Good luck with your sale!

UPDATE: Garauld backrest and rack and Kisan Taillight Flasher have SOLD. Road Runner grounding harnesses, Headlight Modulators, and Powerlet Sockets are still available.

Tim, You can call Yamaha Cypress and give them your VIN and they can tell you if the recall has been done. That said, no, it's not very difficult to install. You'll just need to remove both side fairing panels to access the radiator fan plugs and the grounding bolts on the engine.

Wnyfjr, your heated gear most likely uses a coax connection. Powerlet sells all sorts of different adapters to fit their sockets. Zilla, I think this uses the "funny little plugs," as you put it. It does not have standard "cigarette lighter" style sockets. It has the type of sockets that come on a BMW... I'm pretty sure the are actually called Powerlet sockets. If you still want it, you've got yourself a deal.

I just received an email back from Frank at McCruise. I was wrong... the goofy throttle cam is on the throttle body itself on the 06-07 models, so changing to a G2 tube wouldn't help my cruise unit work any better on the 06-07 models. Ken, is the McCruise you have installed designed...

And how could I forget? The bike also includes the hard bags with liners. The right side bag has a couple digs in the paint at the bottom edge of the lid where I backed into a trashcan trying to park up close to the entrance of my work (DOH!).

Graler, I'm fairly certain you can avoid the need for special software by changing your throttle tube to a G2 tamer. From what I understand, the cruise control has difficulty controlling the throttle at smaller throttle openings on the 2006-07 models due to the reverse snail cam on the throttle...
