    Michelin PR3 Failures?

I just put a front one on a while back and have a new rear waiting. So far I really like the tire. I never tried the PR2's.

    FJR or Trophy?

That triple is well proven though. It is great fun to ride, good gearbox. I would think they could make a reliable shaft drive also. Hopefully this will be an awesome machine,I really like it.

    PNW weather sucks!

We had a snowy cold winter here in Denver area too. But now we are nearing a record today of 77. Maybe an earrly spring for a change.

A question about the new popularity of vertical twins?

Americans are very nostalgic about older cars and morocycles. I am shocked at the price of these restored muscle cars. So if the design is much better it gives a lot of value to the vertical twin. Especially for those of us that can remember these bikes.

    Un-used electrical plugs '07

The one in the top picture is the outside air temp sensor. I think the other is for heated grips.

My mistake! CBR1100XX would be correct.

    For Sale

CBR100XX is the correct model designation for that bike. They had about 145 HP if I remember right. I had a red one and they are a fine machine.

    fair price for a 2007?

That sounds like a really fair price to me. I would hope mine would bring that if I sold it. You will probably get a lot of opinions on price, but personally I would spent a little more on a verty clean bike.

    Skiing in CO Superbowl weekend?

Garauld, According to my friends that ski, conditions are really good right now. Our mountains got off to a slow start this year after record snow last year. Keystone is heavily skiied and the bottom towards the lifts are flat so you have to run flat out to keep from skating to the chair. Nice...

Dakar Rally Starts on January 1; Bill Conger is #188.

Don, I had a 390WR that I learned on in the dirt. What an *** kicker of a bike to learn on. I had a hard time keeping the front wheel down on it. My first day on that was very humbling! I always rode on the street and thought I could ride.. Don, I had a 390WR that I learned on in the dirt...

Seen the dark at the end of the tunnel

Hans, I agree. Commuting in these big urban areas adds a lot of risk to the ride. I just ride for fun mostly weekends these days. It is totally enjoyable, relaxing. These Denver drivers are on any device they can get there hands on and driving is secondary. I know we don't have the traffic like...

    Which Bike Would YOU Choose?

Mike, I did the High Alpine Tour a few years ago and chose the R1200 GS. My wife was on the back and it was very comfortable and cornered very well. You will definitely love the trip no matter what bike you choose!
