    Spring tool source?

I use pennies...they're cheaper than flat washers. :D

    CalSci Customer Service

My Cal-Sci looked and felt like it had been cut out by hand with a hacksaw and left that way. Optical clarity was poor, having multiple blemishes in the plastic. I did try it just for argument sake, and had it performed up to all the hype, I'd have probably sanded the edges myself, but I was...

Winter Gloves made for use with Heated Grips

I ride in pretty freakin cold weather here in Ohio, as long as there's not a heavy layer of salt on the roads. I have relatively crappy circulation in my right hand from a nasty get-off a couple decades ago, so my right hand gets painfully cold pretty quick. First I tried V-Strom...

Hi Visabily clothing & the Police

I learned a long time ago that if you feel like a racer boy while traveling down the road, you probably look like one to the local LEOs. It's not how fast you go...it's how you go fast. As luck would have it, I've found both my FJRs to be absolutely invisible to cops. I love it. I was on my...

    Pay It Forward

No, no...not IN your mouth. Chatterbox clearly specifies that it should be lightly touching your lips. Uhhhhh, I gotta go now. :o

    Pay It Forward

I just found the foam ****ie that goes over the mic, that comes too. I had a Chatterbox cell phone call cord somewhere, but can't seem to locate it. If I find it, it will come along for the ride too.

    Pay It Forward

PM sent. I just checked Chatterbox's website and they specifically recommend this headset for modular/flip helmets. It also says that it's compatible with the FRS X2 model. Here's a pic; Let me know if this is worthy or not.

    Pay It Forward

I could sure use that for my 125. I could offer up for my PIF item an "open-face" noise reducing headset for a Chatterbox GMRS X1 or X1 bluetooth. All my helmets are full-face, but I think this would also work well for a modular style helmet. Main difference is that the open face has a boom...

    Quick-Disconnect Plug/socket

Holy crap! Those are oem connectors for most japanese vehicles! You better believe I'm book marking that one! I feel like it's my birthday! Thanks for the link Scarman!

And there's one on there NOW.

Can't get 2005 FJR fairing compartment open!!

I think the gasket around the lid is what makes mine stick. It usually takes just a gentle persuasion with a fingernail to remedy. I also think alot of the mechanism failures are caused by not closing under the same conditions as opening (nuetral w/key on), but I have no hard data to back that up.

    Windscreen again

I don't know of any besides Laminar Lip, and I give them two thumbs up. I tried stock, Yami tall, CalSci, and V-stream on my gen I before trying the lip. I'd have to say that for me it's as good as or better than any of the others I tried for a fraction of the price. You can catch used ones...

    Bamboo underwear??

Interesting that they don't say what these are made of. I bought some underwear off Hanes website prior to running the Lake Erie Loop this year (I took the overall win this past June on my 125 Derbi...651 miles in 11:16). My primary concern was getting something with no seams in the back...

Speedometer face with kph and mph

I see gen II meter clusters on Ebay pretty regularly. I suspect you'd be better off buying a whole assembly anyway, as the meters may not be calibrated the same, so just changing the face might not yield the results you're looking for.

    Bamboo underwear??

Ok, a quickie from Wiki. :) "Since 1981, three-way catalytic converters have been used in vehicle emission control systems in North America and many other countries on roadgoing vehicles. A three-way catalytic converter has three simultaneous tasks: Reduction of nitrogen oxides to...

Look what I got in the mail --

Well, you made me go look, so here's what the FJR service manual says; "The air induction system (AI system) introduces fresh air into the exhaust port in order to burn the unburned gas (which is present in the exhaust gas) in the exhaust pipe. The burning of the unburned gases in this manner...

Look what I got in the mail --

Well, I could be wrong, but I believe the PAIR valve is there to oxygenate the cats so they can do their thing...that is, catalyze. That's why automotive EFI systems are setup to toggle rich/lean/rich/lean. Cats need oxygen to catalyze the exhaust, so they alternate oxygenation/catalyzation...
