Here you go... very reliable, waterproof, and doesn't have much of a power draw. Actually, I have a 2820 now, and love it. It may not be the latest and greatest, but I don't know what more I could get out of a GPS, unless it was going to steer the bike for me.

It will be, once I ding up the original paint enough... But I'll probably go with a full-bike decal. The problem I have with a custom paint job on a well/often ridden bike is keeping it looking good. WIth a decal, you can reprint/reapply as needed.

Very nice job Travis! From one woodworker to another, I know how long some of that finishing work took... very nice. Love the woods you used... Truly a one-of-a-kind job.... he should treasure it!

Sounds about right... another trip East to catch the roads I missed at EOM this year due to weather issues, and revisit the really great ones!

Is there a plan to have whoever created the 06, 07, and 08 EOM banner for our signature lines create one for '09? Edit: Note, as shown below, I've now got it... thanks!

It's all good Rad... my '05 just turned 42K on the way back from EOM... not nearly as many miles as I would like to have, but that's what a job and 3 kids will do. I still enjoy the crap out of that bike, and won't trade/sell it unless Yamaha comes up with something a heck of a lot better.

Made it home safe and sound on Monday... worst rain of the entire trip, bar none, was 30 miles from my house coming into Houston... 3700+ miles, and I felt like a U-boat commander for 5 of the last 30. Great time, great trip, guess it's time to update my US Map!

I leave tomorrow morning at around 2 AM... heading to Kansas City first for a family function, then to a small town in Illinois I spent a couple years growing up in, then to Blacksburg to revisit Va Tech, then to Johnson City next Thursday. Should be a lot of fun... am really looking forward to it!

Maybe he dropped his lucky rabbits foot (or his SPOT tracker) in the parking lot in Spartanburg and is going back to get it... :blink:

Was wondering as I was flipping though them if Norris Hall in Blacksburg would show up... (note, I'm a Virginia Tech grad, and will be passing through Blacksburg on my way to EOM in a couple weeks...).

It just dawned on me that Scooter may be using the Top Gun brackets I sold him for his aux lights... after he did the dirt dance coming down off Independance Pass going to WFO in Boulder... His right bracket was messed up. I sold him mine... wonder if those are the ones...? Kinda neat to have...

The irony is so thick, you can almost cut it with a knife.... ;)

It just so happens that I was talking to a regional distributor for Michelin motorcycle tires (while he spooned my new Storms onto my rims this afternoon), and he confirmed that the PR2 fronts are out of stock almost everywhere at the moment. He had a few, but said they are not being shipped...
