Rolled in around 5pm today. Rob and I hit rain right at the Pennsylvania/New York stateline (I mean within a mile!) and it got harder and nastier all the way up I190 to Niagara Falls. Then it cleared up for the slab ride up the QEW.
I bid Rob adieu and spent last night at my sisters place. She and her husband both ride and thought I was friggin insane for riding 12 hrs straight from West Virginia... pffft.. HD riders, they don't know what their missing. Finished the ride home today after a quick stop at my brothers near Barrie.

Wow, it all seems like a blur. Thanks to the organizers and the participants for making it such a blast to attend, and a special thanks to Rob who put up with my butt breaks every couple of hours and even shared his beer with me. A good friend for sho'!

I gotta know . . . . Holiday Inn, Johson City to your driveway in Sudbury . . . . . miles?

Well according to Google, taking the slab is nearly exactly a 1000 miles (I was toying with the idea of doing a SaddleSore on the way down). That being said, we didn't take the slab that much. Probably on the order of 1300-1400 miles each way.

I'm not sure of the mileage count total for the trip. I did take pic's of the odometer when I left and returned. Haven't check it yet. I do know my bike rolled 60K somewhere just north of the border. So I'm thinking about 4 - 5 thousand Km for the trip.

Made it home safe and sound on Monday... worst rain of the entire trip, bar none, was 30 miles from my house coming into Houston... 3700+ miles, and I felt like a U-boat commander for 5 of the last 30.

Great time, great trip, guess it's time to update my US Map!

Well we made it home today around 5:00.

We left Sunday around 9:00 AM and headed for Dickson TN and spent a couple of days with our son. We did some work around his house adding lights putting up curtains and enjoying time together and a few beers. :drinks: I wish he wasn't so far away. We left Tuesday morning and slabbed the 1200 miles home. Second time I have done this and it really sucks. What part of "SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT" do cagers not understand???????????????????

This was by far the best week of motorcycle riding I have ever done. BIG THANKS! to all who put this together and all there efforts. Thanks John and Julie for tagging along with us it was great. I can't wait to chase those two guys from Florida again they sure can ride.

Note to Self: Yes motorcycles can hydroplane, don't ask me how I know this. :(

See ya next year!!!
