    Neutral Light Stays on

Thanks. Will try pulling the fuse first, then look into disabling auto-retract if the problem persists.

    Neutral Light Stays on

My bike is now exhibiting the same symptoms - Turn the key off, neutral light stays on, battery dies after a couple of days with the bike parked in gear (to kill the neutral light). Replacing a $600 windshield motor to cure a microswitch problem on a 10 year-old bike with 120,000+ miles and a...

    Dead on the road

(Because a running engine makes the alternator spin, which produces electricity to power the electrical systems -- and the battery is no longer needed to run the electrical systems.) Not my experience with this bike. A loose battery cable kills the bike, even if running; it will not run...

    Radman has passed away

Truly saddened to hear this. Rad was a huge presence here and contributed much that was both fun and useful...RIP

    Super Brace Pros & Cons

It helped a lot until I upgraded my front suspension. I removed it on the advice of the GPSuspension guru and never missed it because the front end was then properly sprung for my heft

    Sporadically won't hold idle.

Puppychow, The common factor in your story is you're coming to a stop whenever the problem manifests, so not completely random (although it doesn't happen at every stop) - maybe you're intermittently losing a connection (ignition switch or battery?) as you brake. I'd think electrical first...

WTB - 2005 Front ABS Wheel

Clocklaw, I've got a spare '05 front, but it's also bent (rode with the bend for 30K miles +/-, so not too horrible) and the rotors are toast. Do you want it so you can ride while you send yours to your rim straightening shop? Took me a couple years checking fleabay to get my replacement, but...

    WTB, Gen1 raising links

I've got a set of the 26-28 mm (suspension height rise) wild hair accessory dogbones sitting in a coffee can in the garage. Shoot me a PM with your address if interested.

    For Sale: 2003 Fairing/Misc parts

Canadian FJR, Sorry, wasn't sure from your list. I need (from FJR tech links) Panel "D" (the one under the right handlebar). The forward part of the panel covers the back half of the battery. Did that bit survive your peg scraping? Thanks, RsvlFeej

    Daytona garage sale 05 goodies

Is this what you mean when you say throttle side lower cowling?

    Starting from scratch

Throttle body synch (TBS) and changing spark plugs are simple on this bike - but you do need a 4-way manometer for the TBS.

    Y.E.S.

Yes, paid for itself many times over on my '05.

    Me too.

Gotta agree it was an outstanding 34 mile ride report but I'm surprised he continued with the thread after SkooterG's offer... I'm jealous too (of the BIKE)

    My 2013 FJR has arrived.....

Wow! What a fookin' beauty (and I'm not talking about the guy in the wife beater that keeps photobombing your pics). I just busted my cubbyhole auto-latch - wonder if the wife will let me order one now...

"I got your third gear RIGHT HERE!",

Your boots may be too thick. Either try another pair of boots or loosen the gear shift lever bolt, slide it completely off the shaft and rotate it one notch further away from your toe. These bikes will NOT shift if there's any tension left on the lever between shifts.
