After reading the electrical horror story in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix area) and seemingly only one shop was really recommended by the locals.... got me to thinking about my area and where to go for the service I don't have the time or inclination to do.

There are a fair number of shops around but I was hoping to get some solid info on a few good ones. I'm in Brentwood which is approx half way between the SFO bay area and the Sacramento area.

Appreciate your input.

Zac and Dean at Roseville Yamaha (Sacramento area) -- they've been very good to FJR owners on service issues of all sorts. Zac is an FJR owner and FJRforum member. You'll probably hear a chorus on this behind me here.

I live not too far from you, in Tracy, and I drive to Roseville as well. I feel very confident in Zac and crew. I have had my '04 there many times, great service and quality work!

Roseville sounds like the likely option. I was hoping for Livermore, Pleasanton, Walnut Creek area but good service and trust is most important. Thanks all.

Living in San Diego now but lived in Roseville/Rocklin area for many years. Roseville Yamaha has been a great store for me. Had my ignition switch recall done there, don't know if they still do but they used to sell tires at cost or close to it, and I try to buy all my dirt bike stuff there. The staff has always been courteous and gone out of their way to provide good service. Can't recommend them enough.

Speaking of employee attitudes toward customers there, let's not forget that they always have friendly young, fit, hot girls up front as cashiers and greeters on your way in and out. :)
