    Dealer performs hack job!

I got lucky too. Dealer gave me the switch and I installed. The few extra dents I got doing it made it feel like a real professional had done the repair. :moil:

EPA wants to increase ethanol to 15%

Well I put in my 2 cents but I gotta believe (after reading 6 pages of comments) that there are a lot of corn farmers out there.

    Headlight Modulators

SOP here in Tallahassee. I learned that the hard way when I came here 10 years ago. Flashing your lights was common practice in South Fla. but not up here. Not bashing your modulator just stating Tallahassee/North Fla. rules of the road.

Riding a Nimbus around the world

Saw my first (and only) Nimbus in the shop next to where I worked. Kirk F. White Autocars (IIRC). Was painted od green. I was riding a Zuke at the time and drivin' a 66 Chevelle (396) SS. White had a mechanic that drove a beat up 289 AC Cobra (real, not a kit). They worked on exotic sportscars...

    The Life of a Pirate

The report stated the conditions "were deteriorating" what ever that means. A check of sea conditions this afternoon (our time) show seas around 3 feet. Swells like that in an open ocean can have a period that would allow a window of opportunity for the shooter. Add to the fact that the lifeboat...

    The Life of a Pirate

Well the jury is still out on this whole bailout thing but... I'd say he knows who to go to when dealing with pirates. Now, if they can just win a bowl game this year.

    The Life of a Pirate

Why, because war was left to the Generals or rather the Admirals in this instance.

    The Life of a Pirate

Since ship owners (commercial that is) are hesitant to arm their crews, maybe they should join together and employ "Q ships" to ply the waters off of Somalia. Everyone kicks in and they hire privateers (sailors of fortune) to mitigate the risk of having to sail in this area of the world.

    Fork seals...

Here's something that might/might not help. Clicky Good luck.

    repair manuals

Yep, And if that ain't bad enough, they're printed in Japanese. They do however have English exploded views so that's not so bad. :blind:

    Datel readings

I can only speak of mine but direct measurement at the battery (fully charged) results in a 13.2 reading. Datel measures 12.9 As they say, close enough for government work. :dirol: 13.9 is my magic number while at speed. Add the .3 and I'm in the "shweet zone" Ion refers to.

    The Life of a Pirate

Well I see the pirate saga has ended (for the time being) for the US. Three buccaneers sleep with the fish. :pirate: One captured and soon to be hanged (won't happen) And the Captain comes home to his family. It's been a hell of a day at sea sir. :clapping:

    A very happy daughter!

Judging by the second pic, I wonder.. Is there any room left at the Inn? Way to go, cause that's what Dads do. :friends:

Has this ever happened on the forum?

Man sold his ride in March. Is he even still active here?

    Datel readings

That is the true function of the volt meter. There was a thread sometime back that Alan (Ionbeam) posted showing the different range of voltages and how they related to the charging system's health. By monitoring those changes in voltages (as you stated above) you got a pretty good picture of...

Any Plumbers or Well Technicians on board?

I'd replace the tank. If I remember correctly, replacing the bladder wasn't the end of the world but it wasn't that easy either. Besides new tanks and bladder give the water that "new tank" taste we all crave. Good luck.
