Flashing Strobe Lights On Non Emergency Vehicles

I charged a guy in Oregon for having white flashers on his Jeep about 5 years ago. He was activating them to pull people over and yell at them. He would also do it to get through thick traffic. The case was dismissed because the lights were not blue or red, and the judge said, "If mail vehicles...

Can anyone help no power on FJR NOT IGNITION SWITCH

I had a 1990 Ford Pickup truck that started every time without hesitation. I pulled into a 7-11, and when I came back, the door dinger would work, barely, but lights and starter were dead. No warning, no indications of any problems before hand. I checked battery conditions, etc, and everything...

G2 Throttle tube for 06-07 FJR

It should take no more than 5 minutes. It's very easy. Hardest part is getting the grip off, but when you use one of the "tricks" it's a breeze. There are several tricks posted elsewhere on the forum. Some use compressed air. I used Glass Plus. Worked like a charm.

    Bike cranks but wont start

How long has it been since you rode it? As Ionbeam said, if it's been a while, twist it wide open, and crank it in short bursts. Worked for mine.

Oregon coast with fjr_pig and bikerskier

FJR_pig had to go to the Oregon coast to take some pictures for some weird work project. Bikerskier and I tagged along. While there, we took the obligatory picture of the bikes at the beach. Then we headed north to the location the union I run is buying a beach house. Took some pictures of the...

    Hard Wired Garage Door Opener

The reason I made mine powered by the bike was because there were occasions where I left my bike parked in front of the house, under the eave, and I didn't want the garage door opener to be able to open the garage door when the bike was off and parked.

Bike doesn't start after ECU replacement

Ask them to have the tech verify that each of the wires plugging in to the ECU harness are properly seated in the harness. If the tech pulled on the wires when unplugging the original ECU, one could be loose when he plugged the harness into the new ECU. I experienced this when I did the...

Gen II to Gen I engine transplant

Having had the engine out of my 2nd gen, I would primarily be worried about motor mount locations. I believe the engine is a part of the stability of the FJR's frame.
