Tax prep software does a pretty good job IMO. Think I'll put some of our refund toward paying off my DL650. If it wasn't for the American Opportunity Tax Credit I'd probably owe. <_<

That's what happens sometimes when feelings get hurt. If you take the view that forum posts are either informative, amusing, or irrelevant and worth every penny you paid for them, it's way more fun IMO. ;) BTW, Mobil 15W-50 Synth works well in my 05 FJR.

"and use tire lube, WD40 works well !!" I'll bet it does, even after its mounted. :dribble: I had my FJR rear tire rotate about 30 degrees on the rim after using a lump of Murphy's soap dissolved in water as lube. :glare: I only use the blue NAPA lube now.

You can drill a small hole through the card severing that wire loop around the chip if you'd like to permanently disable that feature. :P

You can check the operation of the sidestand switch with ohmmeter probes on the connector in the cable that runs up from the sidestand switch on the left side. I think closed is up. When mine acted up it would just crank away & not start as long as it was in neutral or the clutch was pulled in...

If you have the FSM & trace out those wires, I think those ignition switch wires carry the safety interlock signals line back to the ECU. I don't think shorting them together will help in this case.

It's more like best case 4K lumens at the nominal 3.15A test current but still pretty impressive!

I'd boot to a distro of Linux off a flash drive or live CD on your old laptop before deciding that it's trash, or better yet, just give it to me. :lol: I'm running xubuntu off a 4gb flash drive on an old Compaq laptop whilst making this post.

"it was only while at a high idle, it then dropped." It will, the alt only puts out its rated output at highway speeds. The output at idle is barely enough to power the bike & charge the battery too.
