I'm new here and have a couple of questions on my '13 FJR

I keep a few small tools and my registration in the box. As far as leaving it open, why. Most FJR riders ride with the panniers and a top box including myself. Ride and enjoy the 2013, I really have enjoyed mine.

Total Knee Replacement - my experience might help you

After reading this post I will hold off any work on my knees. I am 6 weeks out on my recent hip joint surgery and can walk without pain, except when going up stairs. My main problem from the hip surgery was constipation from the pain pills, but I won't go into that. I appreciate this post for...

    First Ride on Virgin Knee

I must not have a very good surgeon for my hip joint replacement Monday morning. He told me I wouldn't be able to drive for 6 weeks. Might be to late to change surgeons. I plan to drive to California December 26 anyway.

What's your Mileage For the YFO Trip?

2385, but 400+ miles with a flat rear tire. Couldn't find the leak to repair so rode it home stopping every thirty to forty miles to air it up. Pump burned up 30 miles from home, made it on flat to service station and made final 25 miles home. Nothing open Sunday and Monday.

    Petey

I first met Petey in 2010 in Eureka. I was very impressed by the fact that he and a friend from Texas had ridden all the way from Oklahoma to attend the meeting. I then met him at every function I attended. He always made me feel like a true friend. I started joking with him, by thanking him...

Cross my heart and hope to die

They have found that a fairly inexpensive cancer drug works as well as a very expensive ARMD drug and that is what they are using on me. If I have to have injections for 30 years I will be 106. Can't wait. Say DC was your father injecting in his eye? Thanks for all of the replies. i will...

Cross my heart and hope to die

I was told about six years ago that I had pre age related macular degeneration. My symptoms were a group of blood vessels near the optic nerve in my right eye. My ophthalmologist told me to come in every three months and see if the blood vessels were moving toward the optic nerve. This could...

    dropped my new fjr!

Okay, here is my drop story. I was riding with Sacramento Mike, Big John, JREW and another guy, the leader who took us on some real goat trails. The group stopped to discuss something, I have never asked what, and while waiting for them I left the bike running and put it in neutral to mess...

    The Redfishes ride to California

I believe catching a big old redfish would probably be as much fun as catching a great big Salmon. Not sure if I will ever make it to your part of the world. I will be 76 in a few days and have never made it east of the Mississippi. May have to buy a motor home and tour the east while I can...

    The Redfishes ride to California

Really enjoyed your ride report. I would also really be proud of your "Pops." I don't think I could have made that many 500 plus days in a row. I think your next trip should be to the Great Northwet. Forget the dry heat desert that you rode in this time and enjoy the moderate temperatures...
