I just received the May/June issue of what used to be Motorcyclist magazine. What a total, worthless, piece of crap, most of which is only remotely relevant to motorcycles. How can a motorcycle magazine that actually tests motorcycle evolve to (fill in the blanks) in such a short time? Does anyone have the Editors email address so I can directly request that I never see another issue of this garbage in my mailbox?

My thoughts as well. The new format came along with my renewal notice...No thank you after about 15 years of subscribing!

Wow! Your's is the second time I've heard almost exactly the same thing about the new format in 2 days. I actually had to double check to be sure you weren't the same person posting on a second forum. I guess I'm glad I stopped getting Motorcyclist about 8 years ago. It's a shame really!! I'm not even sure what the Hell a Coffee Table magazine, or whatever they're calling it is.

I completely agree with MCRIDER007 on this. That is by far the most useless excuse for a "motorcycle" magazine I ever had the misfortune to see. I actually thumbed through it, read one very brief article and then went directly to the trash can. I have not been this disappointed since I found out about Santa Clause.

At least a few trees should be saved. I cannot imagine Motorcyclist needing a lot of paper for printing future issues.

If you can believe it, I thought it was YOU that write 007's post. They are eerily similar. It says something when two guys from very different parts of the country and who haven't talked hate something equally. Someone should tell those dummies how much it sucks!!

The new format actually came out in March/April 2017 (I think). It was a great step backward and has gotten worse with every subsequent issue but really hit a new low with the last issue. If it wasn’t for the name on the cover, it would be a challenge to guess what the target audience is.

Has anyone checked out the new Cycle magazine? Equally as disappointing ......

And yes I know, same publishers.

Yea, except you are referring to Cycle World who bought Cycle several years ago and is now evolving into another non-motorcycle publication. I used to have subscriptions to 6 motorcycle magazines, now 3, and soon to be one.

Not in my mailbox anymore, same with Cycle World.

Trying to market anything printed has not been easy since the Interweb arrived.

I regularly spend $10 to $15 for European magazines that are a good value because of content.

Trying to succeed in that business by being cheap is a fast track to failure.

I remember the original Cycle magazine with great fondness when they would completely disassemble a new bike and show the interesting bits.

Both, Cycle World and Motorcyclist have turned into coffee table picture books. You don't need content for this. Pretty pictures, nice binding, that's all. Perfect compliment for the affluent hipster motorcycle owner....who takes his Thruxton or Ducati to the shop to fix the simplist of things because he doesn't even own any tools or know how to use them if he did.

So the importance of forums like this has just increased. ;)

I ditched Motorcyclist a few years ago. No need to subscribe since they will email you a link to all of their articles for free anyway.

I really hated the magazine when they had Brian Caterwall (or whatever his name was) as editor. It looked like it was heading in the right direction when Marc Cook took over. I dont know why he left but they put two millennials (Ari Henning and Zac Courts) in charge as co-editors and that was the beginning of the end.

Not worth reading is an understatement

It was Brian Catterson and he was awful. I really enjoyed Marc Cook's version of Motorcyclist. He was better than either of the two previous editors, Boehm and Catterson.

I think both Ari and Zac have the potential to do better work but they were given orders, not choices. When Cook left his last two editorials touched on that. The publishers had a New Direction in mind and he was not part of it.

It has become obvious to me that I am not part of it either.
