What did you do to your FJR today?

Got the front ones done. I discovered that you don't have to take the complete side cowling off to do it. After I had already done that on one side, that is. But nothing lost, because by removing it, I was able to see that my coolant reservoir was pretty low and I was able to add coolant to the...

What did you do to your FJR today?

Added LED rear turn signals and a new flasher relay. Much brighter, IMO. Will add the front ones as soon as I figure our how to access the stupid things without breaking something.

    Earplugs: just me?

I use the Howard Leight florescent green/pink ones. I bought a case of them after being given a pair during an MRI. I find them more comfortable than most, although I usually don't have a problem with foam plugs anyway. I've tried some DIY molded plugs and they don't ever stay seated well and...

    Quin - A Smarter Helmet?

Agreed. But I like to look at projects like this. I'm willing to not get the kickstarter discount to wait for the project to actually be available. But sooner or later, someone's going to do it right. My interest would be higher if they were making a modular helmet. I think the most interesting...

    Quin - A Smarter Helmet?

I saw this helmet mentioned on another site that I frequent. It does look interesting. No real mention of wearability and noise level though. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/quindesign/quin-helmets-smart-about-safety

What did you do to your FJR today?

Finally finished my Rostra install. Works flawlessly now. It does take a little getting used to being able to take my right hand off of the throttle and maintain speed, but I think I'll get the hang of it. :)

    2018 Yamaha FJR police version

A friend of mine is an SC State Trooper. They went from BMWs to ST1300s a few years back and everyone hated those bikes. They're using the BMWs again now. My friend said that the ST1300 didn't handle or ride nearly as well as the BMW. He absolutely hated the ST1300. Joey.

    Side Vents

In the winter I move them outward. That does seem to keep more air off of my legs. In fact, since I'll routinely ride in the 20's and 30's during the winter, the effect is noticeable. YMMV.

    Tubular handlebar adaptor for FJR?

So the transition went well, I see. I guess this is the real reason you couldn't make it up for the GaTech-Clemson game. :)

    Wireless phone charging...on a bike?

Mine was actually advertised as waterproof. It's seen some rain and still keeps working. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I7FI7CM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Wireless phone charging...on a bike?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I7FI7CM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's listed as unavailable now, but maybe there's another seller that carries something similar. Joey.

    Wireless phone charging...on a bike?

I use a mount in my car made by iOttie. But it is definitely not suitable for a bike. You might try ProClipUSA. They have mounts for a number of phones, but I don't remember if they have any Qi mounts.

Ohio Rt. 555 claims another one

That's the biggest thing on any unfamiliar road. I'll see guys flying by me. Either they know the road, or they have a death wish.
